Wionala, a white queen, lay sleeping on the sands, her rider siting watching her. Trey was wondering when the eggs would hatch when she felt a vibration. Wionala awoke abrubtly, her eyes showing excitement and agitation.*Trey! Send out the message of the imminent hatching!*
Trey ran off toward the exit to the grounds, and yelled,"Richter! Tell the flitts it is time and they must tell people where to come!"She saw her queens mate, his eyes whirling in anticipation, turn his head toward the little lizards, and then seeing them take off, she ran back in to change into her gown for the hatching.
Trey sent to her queen,*How long do we have, Wionala?* She heard her queen rumble contently then reply,*Not long love. They aren't taking as long as we thought they would.*Trey heard the worry in the queen's voice. Gryuigwen dragons had to bond in order to live. She hoped the flitts would hurry.
Richter sent to his rider Rone,*The hatching begins. You must change then go comfort Wionala's rider. She will be worried.* Richter rumbled agitatedly. He too was worried. This was Wionala's first clutch, hopefully all would go well.

Eliza looked in, her long brown hair shimmering in the sunlight "Am I too late and may I attend this hatching?" she asked, turning to Sephiroth and Wionala, the white queen.

Lady Cin- 01-07-2005
Lady Cinnamin Draconna received notice of the Gryuigwen hatching and in turn sent notice to Archmage Datan. Datan had recently attended another hatching with Cin and had expressed interest in attending more like it.

Datan arrived at Spice Castle shortly afterwards on his adamantiam Battle Dragon queen, Night Star. Cin mounted her brione Caeddhry Dragon queen Lotheryolana, and together the four took off to the hatching. Gliding swiftly through the dimensions, they arrived at the hatching ground a few moments later.

"Greetings" Cin said, "word came to me about the hatching and we came at once. I am Cinnamin and my companion is called Datan." Datan and Cin bowed to the parent dragons and their riders, then took their places on the sands.

Sephiroth- 01-07-2005
Both Trey and Rone greeted their guests."Anyone who wishes may attend. You are welcome here. Good luck."Trey added to the candidates. Wionala turned shining eyes on the guests. She sent to them,*As long as you feel you are worthy of my children, you may try your best to bond to them*When she finished, Richter rumbled his agreement. Trey and Rone smiled at each other at their dragons words. Trey looked toward the clutch of 17 eggs, wondering what they would hold. She could tell Rone was wondering the same thing.

Sephiroth- 01-07-2005
Just as Trey had walked over to Wionala to comfort her worried dragon, one of the eggs cracked. It rolled into one of its clutchmate eggs, and cracked more, enough for the baby dragon to break free.

A sapphire blue dragon popped out, creeling it's hunger to those already on the sands. *Mother?*It inquired of Wionala. The queen nuzzled the hatchling and gave it a little push towards the candidates. The hatchling looked at those assembled, and walked over toward Datan. *Who are you? Are you for me?* The little blue tilted it's head slightly to the side, as it asked her.

Another egg cracked open, spilling a gold hatchling onto her nose. She looked around in worry. The poor thing started to walk toward Cinnamin and Datan when she fell on her nose again. She gave a little cry of pain, then looked toward Cinnamin and said,*I can't get up. Will you help me?*The little dragonling bravely tried again to get up, but just fell back down.

Two more eggs started to rock then crack. Trey gasped. There was only one more candidate here? What would happen if no one else showed up?

Lady Cin- 01-07-2005
OOC: Datan is a male...lol
My personas are more than willing to bond to multiple hatchlings as you see fit.

Are you for me?* The little blue tilted it's head slightly to the side, as it asked him.

"I am yours if you wish it so little one" Datan replied, "My name is Datan and I am an Archmage, in charge of a Magic Academy. I have many responsibilities, but I promise to treat you well and take care of you always, if you decide to accept me."

Cinnamin rushed over to the delicate young gold, "Of course I will help you precious, now hold still." Cinnamin used her magic to levitate the hatchling and straighten out the tangled legs and wings, then lowered her back to the sands gently. She didn't think the golden was badly hurt, but she cast a healing spell just to make sure. "You should feel much better now precious one" Cin said, "I am happy to have been able to help you and I would be most honored if you would like to become my bondmate. The choice is yours but I think we could be very happy together."

Kohikari- 01-07-2005
A slim girl sat on a bed, playing with a baby kyolite on her lap. Next to her slept a young Palmerian tiger, peacefully dreaming under three glowing Spirit Fae maidens' constant supervision. At her feet, a Sun Cheetah kitten rolled around with a ball of red yarn. On the other side of the room, a hatchling tigerdragon napped near a pair of tiny Dark-Heart dragon twins, snuggling together.

Ka'Ri brushed a strand of golden hair behind her ear as the kyolite tired of batting at her finger and decided to stare at the Sun Cheetah kit instead. One of the Dark-Heart twins yawned and went back to sleep. All was fairly quiet.

Just then, a flit popped into the room, startling awake all three hatchling dragons. The twins, Zakat'ta and Tyria, hissed. Ka'Ri stood, putting Kilita, the kyol, back down on the bed. She 'listened' to the flit's sent message, and thanked it. As the mysterious draconic popped back out of the room, the gray-eyed girl turned around and looked at her Bonds.

There's a Hatching, she sent. I feel obligated to go. Besides, I might meet some new friends there. Does anybody want to come? It shouldn't take too long.

Litu're, the sleeping Palmer, cracked open a drowsy eye. *I'd like to stay here and ::yawn:: sleep.*

*That goes for the three of us as well,* the baby tigerdragoness mumbled incoherently. Zakat'ta and Tyria sent their agreement, curling up closer to their Bond-sister Avalei.

Kilita and Falen, the sun cheetah, bounced happily. New friends? Someone to play with us! 'Kat'ta and 'Ria and Li are always sleeping! I wanna come! Kilita sent. Falen nodded his agreement and transmitted a picture of him, Kilita, and Avalei sitting, bored out of their skulls.

Ka'Ri smiled. "Okay then, let's go!" she said brightly. One of Litu're's Fae guardians snorted. The short girl shot the Fae a warning glance before gathering up Kilita and Falen. She closed her eyes, concentrating on her destination, and disappeared.

...

Ka'Ri and her two Bonds appeared a centimeter above the Hatching sands, dropping with a muffled thump. My landings are improving... the girl mused. She looked around, noticing three other guests, Trey, Wionala, Rone, and Richter.

Bowing deeply to Wionala, Ka'Ri stepped up near Eliza, watching the cracking eggs. Kilita and Falen, behind her, snuggled into the warm sand contentedly.

The elfin girl turned to her brown-haired companion. "What's your name?" She waited politely for the somewhat distracted girl to respond...

Lady Cin:

The sappire blue hatchling nuzzled Datan. *I wish to be yours, and you to be mine. Will you name me?* The little blue sent to his chosen. After sending that the little one rumbled contently.

The little gold stared at Cinnamin. *That is much better. Thank you. I chose you as mine. You are kind and are willing to help someone in need. You are mine. Do you want to name me now?* The little gold sent to Cinnamin, eager to start life with her new bondmate.

Kohikari and all:

Wionala rumbled greeting to the newcomers. *The eggs hatch. Do you know of anyone else willing to come to this hatching?*She sent to all of the candidates. Just as she said that, the two eggs that had started to crack burst open, spilling a green and red hatchling on the ground. The green stood up and balanced herself with her wings, but the red just blinked and lay there.

The green looked to the candidates, and wobbled over to Ka'ri. *Who are you? Who is that?* The hatchling inquired of Ka'ri and the two with her. The little forest green hatchling tilted her head in surprise and confusion.

The brick red hatchling had no intention of getting up just yet. His wing hurt. He turned his head to look at the candidates, wondering if one would help him. His gaze rested on Eliza. *My wing hurts.*He said simply, and stared at the girl.

OOC: 4/17 eggs hatched.

Lady Cin- 01-08-2005
The sappire blue hatchling nuzzled Datan. *I wish to be yours, and you to be mine. Will you name me?* The little blue sent to his chosen. After sending that the little one rumbled contently.

"Then we are together" Datan said, "I name you Waverider, because you will have command over the waters." The archmage was a serious type, but the joy he felt at this bonding brought a smile to his solemn face. He caressed the small blue with affection and led her over to meet Night Star.

<<She is small, but she will grow up to be worthy of you>> the black dragoness replied, ><I am pleased to meet you, young Waverider. You have made a good decision to accept Datan. He is a great mage and has many responsibilities, but never has he neglected me.><

The little gold stared at Cinnamin. *That is much better. Thank you. I chose you as mine. You are kind and are willing to help someone in need. You are mine. Do you want to name me now?* The little gold sent to Cinnamin, eager to start life with her new bondmate.

Cinnamin hugged the small gold and giggled with happiness, "I think I should call you Kereseth, which means 'golden bell' to the fae folk."

<<She is quite pretty>> Lotheryolana said as she came over to meet the new hatchling. The much larger dragoness bent her head down and nuzzled the little gold with affection. ><Our Cin is a very loving person, she has many bonds, but loves every one of us equally.><

Sephiroth- 01-08-2005
:Lady Cin:

The little blue, Waverider, nuzzled Datan affectionately. *Waverider is a good name. It will fit me well. I will grow to be strong and will protect you and yours forever.*The hatchling told Datan. *Is there food here? I am so hungry!*

The gold tilted her head at the large dragoness came over to her, then she nuzzled Cinnamin and said,*Kereseth is a good name. I'm hungry...may I eat now?*

Trey walked over to Cinnamin, Datan, and their new companions. "Congratulations. Food is over there in that area with the table. There is meat for the hatchlings, and also food for the candidates and their families." Trey then turned her attention back to the sands and the eggs.

Lady Cin- 01-08-2005
Cinnamin and Datan led their new friends over to the feeding area. Like all hatchlings, they were ravenous and had to be reminded to chew their food. When the hatchlings were full and settled down to sleeping, they left them under the protection of the adult dragonesses and returned to the sands. There were several more eggs and very few candidates so far...one did not allow hatchlings to go unbonded, so they waited to see what would happen next.

OOC: my two will wait for now...if more candidates don't show up, they are more than willing to bond more hatchlings. smile.gif

OOC: 4/17 eggs hatched.

"How badly?" Eliza asked, as she turned and went to look at the hatchling, "If you wish me to, I can heal you?", she asked, uncertainly how badly the red brick hatchling was hurt.

Sephiroth- 01-09-2005
Lady of the Weyr:

The little red stood up and wobbled a bit, then fell back down.*My wing hurts...but why won't my legs work? I can't balance properly. What is healing?*The hatchling asked curiosly.*If it would stop the hurt, will you do it?*

The smallest egg started to crack and burst open. A yellow hatchling emerged, looking at Cinnamin and Datan. It seemed as though it was thinking. *Does no one want me?*The hatchling sent to it's mother, who sent back,*Someone will help you. The two over there will take you if you wish.*Wionala said inclining her head towards Cinnamin and Datan, as she sent to Cinnamin,*You and your friend should know...Yellow's have to be chosen by the candidate. They will not chose for themselves. Would either of you want her?*The White queen's eyes whirled with worry.

OOC: All who wish too may stand again. Platinumdragon22 said she might join. I think I will set a limit of 3 per character. I do hope some more people show...but who knows?

Lady Cin- 01-09-2005
,*You and your friend should know...Yellow's have to be chosen by the candidate. They will not chose for themselves. Would either of you want her?*The White queen's eyes whirled with worry.

Cinnamin couldn't believe her ears, >>of course I will take her<< she sent back to the mother dragon. "I choose you little one and I name you Sunstreak" Cin said firmly as she went to claim the hatchling. She kneeled down beside the little yellow hatchling and gave her a big, big hug. "Never, ever doubt that you are not loved and wanted my Sunstreak."

____________

OOC: thank you, that's 2 for Cin....Datan has 1...and I'm definitely in the market for more...lol.

Falcon Muse- 01-09-2005
Thieva stood by the window of her small chamber, gazing absently out. She was brought to attention when the pinky-sized miniature of herself abruptly tossed a thimble to strike her in the head. Thieva let out a faint yelp, startled and turned on to glare at the Faexes. “What in all the seas was that for?”

“You didn’t seem to hear me when I sighed; I already tried being subtle!” Thieva’Fii fluttered her tiny bejeweled wings in agitation. “Are we going or not?” She walked across the table to stand by her ‘other half’, laying a miniscule hand on the tiny wolf’s blue-grey head. Sy’mea fluttered her own dove grey feathered wings, lifting an eyelid to regard her bondmate and rider. The pair, human Thieva and Faexes miniature, glared at eachother until the woman abruptly laughed, leaving ‘Fii in confusion.

“Well it is my day off, who’s to say me nay if I want to attend a hatching? Certainly I’m not the first servant in the household to bond and I won’t be the first to bond more than once, if a hatchling finds me suitable today.” She grinned and moved over to the mirror, swiftly braiding her long mass of wavy hair which was the subject of much envy among those in the household, the color a rich gold dark enough to pass as brown and indeed a rare shade in their land.

She took a moment to change into one of her finer gowns, a stormy blue-grey to match her eyes, and left.

The young woman walked into the woods after leaving the manor, searching for one of the less trafficked portals. Having little psychic powers of her own beyond telepathy and minor empathy, Thieva had to make use of the common portals rather than teleport herself.
++++++
Thieva walked hesitantly forward, bowing her head with respect toward the dam and sire and their riders. “I am Thieva of Opplueasse, the northern most region of Caeddrhy. May I stand as a candidate?” She held her breath, not daring to glance over at the hatchlings lest she fall in love with one only to be cast away.
