Baximian Dragon

General Description: beings of the air, baximian dragons are huge, light and extremely gracefull creatures, and their beauty are legendary. At birth, all dragons are rather plain and looks somewhat like a reptilian gepard with bat-like wings, their scales are usually shades of blue, black, silver and green. They can grow as large as 30 meters from their nostrils and to the tip of their tail, and there are few external differences between males and females. Despite their light and elegant build, the dragons are exceptionally strong and a dragon may even be capable of carrying its own weight in flight.

Special Abilities: baximian dragons are also powerfull magic-users, they are strongest within the field of aeromancy; capable of controling the element of air. Although they can and often do speak out loud, they seem to prefer telepathic communication, at least when dealing with other races. Sometimes, if a dragon find a non-dragon who she or he take a particular liking to, the dragon may form a empathic bond to that person.

Oddities: before they have lived for their first year, all baximian dragons will 'merge' with a lifeform known only as a "air spirit". While they have no true form of their own, the air spirits is what makes a dragon truly beautiful. Once it have 'merged' with a dragon, an air spirit will gift a dragon with any 'adornements' the dragon asks for; spines, spikes, frills, fins, horns, swirling and complex patterns of a material resembling the dragons own scales, only the dragons own imagination sets the limit. These colors may be of any burnished metal, shimmering and transparent gem colors or even adornements that appears to be made out of shimmering light or flame, glowing like the sun.
