Dhalat

General Description: the dhalat is a large reptilian 'camel' native to Lentheas, created several thousand years ago to replace such terran animals as horses and cows(since no terran animal was ever brought to the planet). Much larger than the lenthean kirin, the dhalat is a gentle-- but not particulary bright-- animal that can travel huge distances on very little food even when carrying heavy loads or several riders. Approximatly twice the size of a terran camel, the dhalat is slightly more slenderly built and being omnivores, they can survive on both plant material and meat, although a herbivorous diet usually leave them healthier. Although a dhalats hide can have almost any color, brown, black and greay are the most common color.
