Drikhan(Pteranodon).

General Description: although related to the krikhans, the drikhan is noticeably smaller than their cousins. They have a wing-span of up to six meters, and usually a bit heavier of build than the krikhan-- but they are still swift and agile fliers. A drikhan's hide is smooth but tough and often covered by a layer of feather-like hair that can be quite colorfull-- particulary at the males of the species. While not quite as smart as the krikhans, a drikhan is still quite smart, perhaps the equialent of a five years old human, which makes them one of the few saurians that come close to being considered truly sapient. As they are quite territorial and easily angered into attacking, but still unusually fond of children-- even those not of their kind, drikhans are often trained as guards or as mounts for young humanoid children. All drikhans are also known for becoming quite attached to the person that are their caretakers, and loosing its caretaker may greatly affect a drikhan, often leaving it mourning for weeks.
