While not an outright dictator, he does enjoy having a firm hold over his Hold and his people. He does love his wife and treats her very well, buying her expensive clothes and delights and doting over his children lovingly, until they are of an age where they can be married or twisted around his finger as a good object of his goals. Background: The second son of Lord Ingol and his wife Lady Kalis, Aurius was raised with his sights set on becoming the Lord Heir even though his older brother Jalton was already promised the post. Instead of taking classes on Weyr Management with his father and his steward, Aurius was fostered to Lord Ebbis of Snow Valley Hold at age three to study Hold Management with more of a focus on becoming a steward himself. After ten turns of fostering, Aurius was sent back to FarNorth Hold and became an assistant to Steward Burel. He watched as his brother was named Lord Heir after his marriage to Lord Ebbis' youngest daughter, Maedra, and all of his dreams seemed to go out the window. While Aurius still held hope that he would one day be Lord Holder, he knew that it was far from likely. He spent the next seven turns learning to be a Steward while his brother and his wife had children, excelled in diplomacy, and looked as if he would be the best Lord Holder FarNorth had ever seen. Until....
When Jalton was only 26, he suffered what appeared to be a heart attack and died. While Ebbis considered making Jalton's oldest son Jorik, only five at the time, he resigned himself to naming then twenty turn old Aurius Lord Heir. Soon it became apparent Aurius was nothing like his brother, taking a wife in Steward Burel's oldest daughter Loramai, but instead of being a diplomat to the other holds and FarNorth Weyr like Jalton, he turned his attention to making sure that the Hold was well run, sometimes trying to go over his father's head to make sure that things were the way he wanted them to be. He was itching to be turned loose and to turn the Hold into the place he wanted it to be. The only thing stopping him was the fact his father was still Lord Holder. By age twenty five he had three daughters - Loka, Miori, and Chaya - but no sons, and he ended his marriage to Loramai in a quiet divorce, angered that she had not produced him an heir.
Two turns later Aurius remarried the daughter of a minor holder, a young girl only 16 turns old by the name of Kayme. After only three years they had three children, including the son that he had so desperately wanted. Vaiyander became his clear favorite over his daughters, and the son was quickly treated like a prince. During his marriage, Ebbis died, and he was made Lord Holder the day of the funeral. But soon Aurius was left a widower as Kayme died at age 23 giving birth to daughter Moorle. Urged by Steward Burel, Aurius married after a turn a fifteen turn old girl named Ziathia, the daughter of a prominent minor holder in his territory. Their first child Matassa died after three sevendays of life due to what the healers deemed kidney failure, but within two months Ziathia was pregnant again with daughter Vedda.
After the birth of son Borias, his ideas began to reveal themselves in prominent ways. Some did not go over well at the beginning, like limiting the number of girls going to the Weyr to Impress and going to craft halls to become apprentices. It was clear he believed that the woman's role was in the home. Also around this time Aurius took a mistress in a widowed young lady named Dayara, a support worker in the storage rooms. Even though he knew that Ziathia was onto him, he continued his relationship with Dayara, even having two daughters with her.
About two turns ago, Aurius sent his daughter Chaya, yet to be married off, to the Weyr and given the task of Impressing a gold dragon, but instead of Impressing a gold, Chaya Impressed the green Taisath, and became disowned and titled a slut by her father. Instead of giving up on his quest to have a goldrider with his mindset, Aurius sent daughter Vamori to continue on, Impressing a blue named Bojath and labelled as a slut, as well. Eventually he hopes that one of his daughters does Impress a gold, and will end his daughter Moorle's engagement if the opportunity arises again. He is trying his hardest to get the crafts and Weyr under his control so he can achieve his plans.

Personality: Dayara always puts on a good display to who ever she is with so it is hard to get a feel for her true personality when you first meet her. When trying to get her way she may seem compliant and almost stupid, but her true nature is cold and conniving. She uses her sexuality to her full advantage to receive what she desires and has so far never been turned down. Dayara is also prone to extreme jealousy, but she knows when not to step her boundaries, especially around Lord Aurius. One the out side, Dayara may seem kind of nice and perhaps maybe even untouchable, but really she is insecure about being anything less than perfect. Becoming older freaks her out and she will do anything to secure her beauty, but unfortunately her position as a support worker never allowed her to indulge herself, that is why she relies on the ‘love’ she gets from the various men in her life. Dayara hates everything; children, animals, the sun, the weather, dragonriders, other females and she can be sure to be complaining about something or the other.

Background: Dayara was born to a hard little lady named Destree that worked in as a hunter for some of the minor Holds. She worked for who ever would pay her the most and her income did not stop to bringing down game. Her father is unknown, at least to her and she also has three half siblings that she does not care to know and could never know. Her mother died when she was seven, but by that time Dayara was already installed in to FarNorth Hold under the nursery workers. She become used to working hard in the nursery, but soon grew to have one horrible attitude for spites sake, this caused her to be beaten many times but she still did not repent her ways. At age fifteen she was espoused to a herder named Hersan. The rumor was that she was pregnant at the time, but the matter was out of her control. The Lord Holder at the time wanted her in control and out of the workings of the Hold because of her absolutely intolerable behavior. Well she never had a child from that herder, most likely because she was successful in forcing her self to miscarry a few times and she didn’t have to worry about the Hersan that long. He died from an accented evolving a pile of chopped wood, of which Dayara says she had noting to do with. Actually she almost was upset to lose him because he was so palpable, but the life of a herder was not for her. She went to work for the Hold again as a worker in the storage rooms. During her time with Hersan, Aurius become Lord Holder and now at 19 she was beginning to look to a higher level of manhood for her support. Her sensuality did not take long to seduce the Lord Holder, who was currently married, but what did she care and he didn’t either. In fact he was the first to come on to her, but who was she to reject. Dayara tried not to be to demanding on the sexist Lord, but Aurius did allow her a few luxuries that she adored and for that she didn’t mind playing the mistress role to her Lord. Actually she had grown quite accustomed to her role and likes the Lord’s rough ways. During her time with Aurius she has given birth to two daughters: Iska, 8 and Baji, 5. She was so careful not to mare her figure with the two births and never had much use for the children. Dayara actually hates the idea of the maternal role, but it was unavoidable.

Personality: Rather quiet, Mekka is somewhat kind, but with absolutely no people skills. Even though she wants to help others, she can’t. She has a good alto voice, but has no vision or dreams other than that she wants to eventually marry and have children. She is happiest in the shadows, helping the other apprentices. The best word to describe her would be simple. She adores children, but due to her inability to relate to other people, doesn’t get to interact with them. Actually, she adores everything except canines, of which she seems to have a phobia.

Background: Mekka grew up as the oldest girl in a family of eight in a very tiny cothold south of FarNorth Hold. Her parents always knew that she had a fairly good voice, but it was Mekka’s mother, Marsa, who decided to try to convince her oldest daughter to go to the Harper Hall. Unfortunately, all the girl wanted to do was get married and have children, so it took a while to get her to leave for lessons at the Hall. Finally, Mekka yielded, after her father, Durne, started nagging her as well; Durne had wanted at least one of his children to go on to greater things than living at a cothold all their lives, and Marsa managed to convince him that their second eldest was their best shot. The fact that Mekka had had zero success in getting a suitor all her life helped the girl make her decision. She is doing well in her singing classes, and looks to walk the tables in a Turn or so. Mekka pays no attention to dragons, and has no wish to be a Candidate.

cold shoulder to most men finding most of them fall in the category of
concieted pigs.

Background: Tyana is the eldest of 6 children among them bronzerider R'nak
and brown weyrling R'vid. She was also Searched but only stood for one
hatching before returning to the family craft. While at the weyr she
realized that though she loved dragons, the constant contact of rider and
dragon went against her personality. She's happy to have the occassional
contact with Alcandeth, thoguh she knows the bronze talks to her only
because it means so much to R'nak. Though she had been focused on training
hunting canines Tyana suddenly felt like a change; she now lives at FarNorth
Hold serving as a guard with her pair of Miriel Huskies. Her only problem
at the Hold being certain activities of the Lord Holder, which have done
little to improve her opinion of men.

Personality: On Earth, there would be no way in doubting that Ziathia would be a trust fund brat - the daughter of Cattrell Valley Hold’s holder, it was her dream growing up to be in a position of rank, and she did somewhat scheme to become Aurius’ choice for a third wife at age 15. While she is a definite attention seeker, she knows her place and will not step from it, especially around Aurius - she doesn’t want to risk spending the rest of her days in a position of support. She hates cooking, she hates cleaning, and for the most part she hates taking care of her children, shoving them on nurses hired by her personally. Ziathia takes great pride in her appearance, and spends hours every week brushing her hair, washing her face, filing her nails, and trying her best to stay in physical shape. She may be smart, but sometimes her vanity gets the best of her and she can be a bit adverse to people wanting to be her friend.

Background: Born in Cattrell Valley Hold, the second child of the holder and his wife, Ziathia was raised with high expectations. From her toddler turns she was already proving her smarts, helping her father with his work and her mother with her duties. Her parents took her to gathers, got her tutors, trying to make her a nice, responsible looking wife, and when the time came at age fourteen where the future Lord Holder of FarNorth was looking for a new wife, her parents jumped and threw both of their two eldest daughters - sixteen turn old Kellory as well as Ziathia - into the fray, hoping that one might be likable enough to get Cattrell a good standing with Lord Heir Aurius. While Aurius liked Kellory better than Ziathia, his steward urged Aurius to choose Ziathia instead for her street smarts, and so Ziathia was married to Aurius in her fifteenth turn. At age sixteen she gave birth to Matassa, who later died, and just eleven months later daughter Vedda. She has since given birth to daughter Satrice and sons Borias, Alasikon, and Faisal. Over her course as being Lady Holder, her street smarts have dulled into a mixture of vanity and contentment, without the constant restrictions of her husband - she knows he is having an affair and he knows that she will blackmail him if he ever does anything wrong.

While she hates to admit it, she does not have many friends, but those who she does have she holds dear. She is a noted advisor, as all of her advisees have gone on to achieve their journeyman rank so far - but of course, she has only had three advisees under her. Strictly heterosexual, Lalari would never think of having relations with another woman. She is also very intelligent and knows her survival and hunting skills like the back of her hand - in fact, they are the back of her hand. She has so many scars to know better.
Background: Born and raised at a cothold beholden to FarNorth, called Winterset Cothold, Lalari was the third of six children, and proved from a young age not to be as pretty as her sisters. Her parents debated whether she would be marriage material when she was still in her childhood, but instead of waiting to see if any cotholder or trader would take the bait and marry Lalari, they apprenticed her to the Huntcraft at Whitemount Cothold. What they didn’t realize was that Lalari got better with age, and by the time she got her Senior Apprentice knots she was even more prettier than her sisters, who seemed to have gotten worse with age in the beauty department. When it came time for her to choose which field she wanted to go into within her craft, it took Lalari a while. A dedicated user of the crossbow, she was going to choose weaponry until she decided at the last moment to become a wherhandler after seeing an older apprentice toting around their recently hatched green wher to class. Lalari changed her mind immediatly and entered the wherhandling program, which she excelled at. When the time came for her to choose an egg, she picked the first one she saw, even if it was the ugliest of the bunch. She didn’t mind if she got a beautiful wher or the ugliest on Pern, just as long as she got one. Once the egg hatched, she was gifted with the ‘best wher ever’ with the dark chocolate brown of a wher which she finally discovered was named Elan. She received her Jr. Journeywoman knots fairly quickly, soon taking Elan on solitary hunts where they caught the biggest game and proved to be a good pair.
