While forumer is certainly ok as long as you don't mind its erratic behavious at times, I have been considering to eventually move things to a independent forum. Having checked out Invisionboard, I believe that paying for a lifetime license($199) won't be a problem if I can only get a job again, however-- paying for hosting may be a different matter as some of the better packages is rather pricey.
I'll have to ask people who's more knowledgeable than me, but if we keep growing, it may be a better solution in the long run.

So the question is if any of you might be willing to make a donation to help keep the forum running if we choose to do this.

Hmm I think I see what you mean. Which package were you looking at? (just for my own curiosity). I'd be willing to donate so long as I wasn't the only one, having the price split up between a few(or even a bunch ) of people will make it quite a bit more affordable.

I would be willing to donate some, but I am currently paying for my way in to a private college which in itself is quite pricey, but I am willing and able.
