DustBunny aka Ferrisk
A very harmless looking creature, it reminds you of the dustbunnies under the bed! The creature is actually a very cunning and swift predator.
Physical description
It has two pointed ears that just peak out the top of the ‘dust ball’. Its head is similar in shape to a fox, but it’s back legs and forelegs are very like a squirrel, including the fingers. Large, intense gold eyes, change to a rich brown when seeking prey. When not hunting, it fluffs its fur up to create the harmless dust bunny appearance. When hunting or scenting prey or danger, its fur smoothes down and you can then see that its body is rather thin and sleek, rather like a ferret, its tail is just a fluffy stump. It has very sharp teeth, but these are hidden most of the time by its puffed up fur. It is a carnivore, but will eat practically anything, which makes them easy to feed, just give him what you are having! The varied colors are sex related; the females are Purple, Pink or Peach, in every imaginable shade of those colors. The males are Blue, Black or Beige, again in a variety of shades. There is no hierarchy in the colors.
Bonding
They don’t need to bond, but they like to form a close friendship with a human, it gets companionship and easy food! And gives affection and protection in return. By this I mean it is very aware of danger and will let you know when you are under threat. It will even stand in front of you, preparing to defend you. It is very loyal.
Breeding
Can breed once a year, 3-6 kits in a litter. Weaned at 6 weeks, can bond at any time after that.
Amongst their own kind, in the wild, they are fairly solitary, living singly or in pairs (usually litter mates), probably easier to find food this way. But tend to meet up with others of its own kind regularly to exchange news, breed etc.
Intelligence
This is very deceiving. Appears to be the same as a domestic cat, but when in hunting mode, displays surprising knowledge, communication skills and sharp intelligence. If a close bond is formed with a human, it seems to understand most of what the human says, (it probably understands all, just pretends not to!) and a discerning human can learn to read the dustbunny’s body language, moods and actions very clearly.

Magical Meerkats
General Description
A native of Midel, the meerkats are a larger version of the Terran meercat, with a larger cranial area and a small coloured ruff around their neck. They have strong magical talents, and a whimsical sense of humour. (It is they who named themselves ‘magical meerkats’ they liked the word flow!) They prefer to live in family communities, and often a whole family will bond with another species, to complement each others magics. This bond seems to strengthen the individual’s magical talents. There is an alpha male and female in each community, though this is based on leadership abilities, rather than strength.
Special Abilities
All meerkats are strong telepathics and each has one other mind talent as well as wizarding skills. Talents are colour linked and some are gender linked.
Brown with cream ruff – Telekinesis

Burgundy with silver ruff – Teleportation
Gold with purple ruff – female only – Foresight, weather witches.
Green with black ruff – male only – Element control, i.e. water, fire, wind.
They have their own speech, which is a kind of barking sound, they can manage human speech but on the whole, they prefer to use their excellent mind speech. This ability is so powerful that even non-telepathic species can ‘hear’ them clearly.
Oddities
Bonding outside the family unit is not essential, but is preferred, for the companionship and the strengthening of magical abilities.
The bonding can take place at any age, sometimes as part of a family group, sometimes alone. (Although, in effect, the meerkat will likely be joining another family unit, not necessarily meerkat. This is always a consideration, they do not like to be alone for long, loneliness can lead to mental distress and physical illness.

Pictsies - half fairy, half goat
General Description
A full grown Pictsy is 10 inches tall. She has the head, torso and arms of a human and a lower body of a woolly goat. She has two gossamer wings which can be folded tight to the body so that they are virtually invisible. She moves around on two legs, but prefers levitation, this is done magically so the wings seem almost superfluous! It is a mainly matriarchal society, though nowadays the alpha couple will often hold equal responsibility. Their grea-*test*-('") delight and need is to take care of others and their homes, their payment for this service is a warm hearth and chocolate! They adore chocolate, and though Pictsies are wonderful cooks, they do not seem to have the knack of making chocolate the way humans do, theirs just doesn’t taste right! So, give them a steady supply of chocolate and you will have a sparkling, well-ordered home and tasty meals. They usually live in family groups, and the whole family will adopt another family, of any species, and take care of them. You will get the occasional Pictsy who doesn’t mind living in smaller groups of one or two, and these are usually drawn to look after solitary people such as scholars and wizards.
Special Abilities
Levitation of themselves and objects many times heavier than themselves. Mind speech to a selected few, usually family members, this includes the humans they ‘adopt’ to take care of. Amazing ability to keep a home spotless and in good repair. Excellent chefs.
There is a special group of spinners who are greatly revered for their craft, they spin and weave the fine wool that is shed or cut off the lower bodies of all Pictsies.

Does this creature need to bond? No, but prefers to do so, and can do so at any age.
They are all chocoholics!
