Kih`maerith

General Description: the kih`maerith is a symbiotic lifeform created by the terranian warrior clans. As a juvenile, almost emmediatly after seperating from its parent, a kih`maerith is given the choice of several warriors in training to bond to for its entire life. Although a kih`maerith May seperate from the one it have chosen, it is a very rare occurance as it almost never happens that it choose a person it won`t be content with. Designed to protect its bearer, a kih`maerith will always take the appearance of a tight-fitting, but very flexible full armor during battle, the form of this armor is determined by the bearer(no pointless adornements or dangerously exposed parts of the body though). The inate magic possessed by all kih`maerith are usually enough to keep almost any mundane weapon from penetrating it an injuring the bearer, it can also protect the bearer against most magical attacks. If the bearer is unconscious, the kih`maerith will partially disengage from him or her, sprouting narrow, razor-sharp 'tentacles' and attack anyone and anything it doesn`t recognize in order to protect its bearer.
When resting, the kih`maerith will become a plain-looking ring, bracelet, necklace or even an ear-ring that is worn by the bearer, but it will awaken and protect its bearer at a split seconds notice.

Mental Abilities: all kih`maerith are keenly intelligent, perhaps smarter than any human, although they rarely choose to prove it to anyone but their bearers. Although capable of speaking telepathically, they usually make use of emotions and images when comunicating.
