Abilities: Good teleportation (except for landings --generally falls on her butt-- and destination-- once ended up in Antarctica in a hula costume), advanced telepathy, empathy

Relations: none (but has a crapload of Bonds)

Psyche/Misc.: can be VERY insecure, is often depressed, feels alone, has no home or planet, loathes suffering, has issues with amnesia, has pretty much no family

History: Is one of another universe's avatars (a humanoid telepathic avatar), but developed her own personality; because of this, she forgets almost everything and hears voices at times of high stress. The universe's other avatars are probably in other dimensions. A while ago, she Bonded several creatures, and relies on them for memory recall at times; after a respite at Caeddrhy's Opplueasse Manor, she resumed her travel.

Karii has developed a soul of her own, but she still has/represents/contains (it's an abstract thing) countless beings, with or without souls. She is a young avatar, but at times her universal nature causes her to speak with great wisdom. Of course, she promptly forgets what she said, but others don't. This effect of not really being herself, and the odd memory loss, gets her really insecure and a bit paranoid. (Let's just say she once considered a foil hat...)

Korinohikari often hears voices in her head. No, she is not crazy, she just hasn't learned how to control the billions of souls that she houses; but if they were allowed to clamor indefinitely, she would go nutso. She is hearing the thoughts and inner monologues of the entities she is a host to.

Also: Sometimes, because of all those souls, Ka'Ri speaks with surprising wisdom without noticing it. I'm thinking of maybe, in the future, having her be trained enough to notice and use it to her advantage. This whole "souls" thing leaves room for lots of sarcastic comments: "Oh, believe me, animals do have souls. Why else would I have to listen to barking in my mind every night when I try to sleep?" "Hey Sara! Your dead cousin Bart says he still hates you!"

~3 young Gryuigwen Dragons [green land soldier, Pern dragonet to green, red fire soldier, assume fire lizard size], Eihi/Vidre/Ra'lex, f/m/m: Eihi is a mini red, Vidre a large silver-green, Ra'lex a medium forest green. Ra'lex tends to be the most levelheaded of the trio, as Vidre is very enthusiastic. Eihi usually either follows the Sri'esli around or tries to manipulate her brothers, with little success. All three are getting bigger, but have definitely not reached full growth yet.

~1 young Sun Cheetah (cheetah w/green eye, light flash/fire powr, comm. in images/feelings], Falen, m: Falen has a wicked sense of humor, and loves getting into mischief with Kilita, with whom he is Bonded; he often uses his Cuteness Factor to get himself out of trouble. Although he's closest to the kyol, they, Avalei, and the Ice Palmer sisters can form quite the mischief-making group. Currently a gangly kit, and no longer the fluffy cub he once was; now he gets into even more trouble than before.

~1 young Kyolite [feline, assume wildcat], Kilita, f: black-striped silver grey, green eyes; although she, too, is mischievous, Kilita is very good at keeping Falen from getting into too much trouble. She continues to resemble a stripey Falen.

~1 young Tigerdragon [striped furry dragons, empath, 4-18/25 (shoulder) in 5-8 yrs, wings have some scales, can shift to feline], Avalei, f: beige-cream w/thin pale green stripes & green-lavender spots. Nicknamed 'garden girl' because of her coloring. An accomplice of the Ice sisters and Kilita/Falen. Currently about 4 3/4 ft. tall at shoulder.

~2 young [rare runtish twins] Dark-Heart Dragons [beaky, forward-curved horns w/nose horn, no back legs, thick sharp scales, don't cross them or rider or let near tainted, shapeshifters w/dark-heart eye, grows from 1.5 by 2.5 to 6 by 14 in 8 yrs, live 70-100], Zakat'ta/Tyria, f: Both have a mixture of dark blue and sky blue in their coloring with splotches of white, but Zakat'ta changed her eye color to lavender while Tyria picked silver. They like to shift the colors on their scales to unnerve others, but rarely shapeshift fully. Are very weak & get sick easily, so they are laidback and like to stay put, but they put up with Karii's traveling habit. Have a friendly rivalry with Kilita and Falen, who like to bother them, but REALLY dislike the Spirit Fae ("flying glowing nuisances!"). Rather attached to Litu're, and help him whenever they can. They don't really care about Niri/Jeko'reta. Currently about three feet long from nose to tail-tip.

~2 young [Ice] Palmerian Tigers [obviously, can cover things with ice], Niri/Jeko'reta, f: Niri is slightly larger & darker silver than Jeko'reta, but both have thin black stripes. The girls have blue eyes, Niri's again slightly darker than Jeko'reta's. Regard Litu're as beloved big brother, but don't really like Zakat'ta/Tyria, as the little dragons tend to ignore them. The two can act very immature, so they and Kilita/Falen are inseperable. The Spirit Fae don't really pay attention to them, but they don't mind.
~1 young [Oracle, water-inclined] Palmerian Tiger [-tachi are kinetic, very fast runners, tiger size to Pern dragon size in 17 months], Litu're, m: Has erratic visions, originally cared for by Spirit Fae, has set of green & white crystal pipes connecting him w/Karii. "Blinding white" w/ overtones of sea green and sea blue, and pale silver-green eyes. Sometimes playful, but often serious; Zakat'ta/Tyria are beloved older sisters, Niri/Jeko'reta beloved younger sisters. Sort of playful rivalry with Kilita/Falen. All three Palmerians are currently losing the fluffiness of youth and getting to be slightly larger than a Terran Siberian tiger.

~14 Spirit Fae [teensy (tip of pinky to 1/2 index finger in 4 mos) glowing women &/or children, "as smart as think they are", 'port/'path/'kinesis/empath/transfigure, 4 Bell: f, dark/water, sea blue or crimson hair, 3 sets spiny wings; 7 Sand: f, "Larks of WestBurning", soothers, serpent movement/flame speak/wild old soul dancers, legless or mermaid tail; 3 Ice: f, spirited means-well tricksters, protective, blue/white/silver dragonfly wings, weather powers], Sri'esli, f: Each has own unique crystal bell strung on Karii's gold necklace. Guardians of Litu're, but somewhat nemeses of Zakat'ta and Tyria. Ignore almost all of Karii's Bonds but their charge; most are somewhat stuck-up.

Relations:

-Sri'esli: very critical of Karii, but respect her for helping their charge; ignore Bonds as much as they can, specifically the Gryuigwens, Kilita, Avalei; care for Litu're, very protective; dislike Falen, Zakat'ta/Tyria; somewhat friendly with Niri/Jeko'reta.

Planet: Alternate Earth, about 2040, with many people having minor telekinetic abilities; slight technological advances, but not much. Much like Earth now, except the police and the rich hate the poor and the criminals much more.

Occupation: Street thief

Rank: One of the many poor teenagers, resorting to crime to survive.

Appearance: 5'7. Dark brown eyes and skin, fluffy black hair usually pulled back in a ponytail; wears a oversized ragged black T-shirt and dusty, too-small brown cargoes. Has a knife in the left one of her ancient, chunky, military-ish boots, and a water bottle and handmade lockpicking equipment in the black sack she carries around.

Abilities: Fairly good at getting out of restraints like ropes or someone grabbing her; speed; agility; not so strong; good at diversions, distractions, alibis, and general lies. When necessary, can move fairly silently. Slight telekinetic ability that requires great concentration; she can only lift one thing at a time, and she's only recently been able to work herself up to lifting heavy things like small children and large rocks. Still, she's imaginative...

History: Mere is a small-time thief from a poor family, without much education. She's skinny, from poor nutrition and running from the cops. Also because of poor nutrition, Mere gets colds and small sicknesses a lot, and sometimes passes out because of them; however, because of medical conditioning of the human race, she rarely gets anything worse.

Relations: Born January 24th, 2023, to Maria and Sam Agassi. Has four brothers and sisters: Kem Agassi, her 14-year-old brother; Sinda Agassi, her 10-year-old sister; Biria Agassi, her 8-year-old sister; and Mekki Agassi, her 4-year-old brother. Sinda aspires to be Mere, Mekki aspires to be the rebellious Kem, another street thief, and Biria aspires to be rich and famous. There's a nut in every family. Maria and Sam both have jobs as cleaning personnel, Maria as a maid, and Sam as a janitor. Together they barely bring in enough money to keep the hovel the family currently lives in, so Kem and Mere do their best to get food on the table.

Psyche/Misc.: Is stubborn and dislikes asking for help, even when she needs it: "I work alone/I'll be fine/I can handle it." Very protective of family and friends; hates the rich and the cops with a vengeance. Dislikes authority figures.

Planet: Future Earth, about 2150, when military scientists bred certain species to be sentient, like the Siberian Tiger, so that they would have an even more powerful army.

Appearance: Average Siberian Tiger: golden-yellow slitted eyes, black-striped orange fur with bits of white. 600 lbs, 9 ft long from nose to tail.

Abilities: Strength, speed, agility, minor communicative telepathy

History: To the tigers the scientists gave enhanced psychic abilities for communication purposes (they couldn't figure out how to fix the vocal cords to add speech), and advanced intelligence. Well, advanced for tigers, at least. The project turned on them when the newly christened Miritan Tigers, now able to strategize, decided that being told to kill masses of people for no reason was pointless, and also that the scientists were much smaller and weaker than them. Most went back to the wilderness preserves, protected by the Environmental Federation.

Relations: Fourteen other Miritan Tigers, mostly female: Raam (male), Giir (male), Puraa (female), Myaa (female), Miir (female), Roh (male), Graayi (female), Siim (male), Piiru (female), Fuur (male), Haamiruu (female; unofficial leader), Yaara (female), Hohmu (male), and Saaya (female). They aren't very close, but they respect each other.

Psyche/Misc.: Miraa can fight, but cannot fathom most complicated puzzles. She always takes the easy, simple way out, and can be very stubborn. Apart from the extra intelligence and telepathy, she is your average tiger.

Name: Soyalla Ber'Norn

Species: Areesh, native humanoids of the planet Arath. They have structured flaps of skin along the arm and upper back, similar to Earth's flying squirrels, which they use to glide over most distances, thanks to Arath's convenient wind currents.

Planet: Arath, a peaceful planet similar to Earth, but ever since an industrial accident 300 years previous, the entire planet has been chlorinated. The air, the water, the land, the creatures...everything. What has survived has turned greenish. From space, the whole world looks like a clouded emerald. The government is working hard on the pollution problem.

Occupation: Student and generic messenger/delivery girl; works for her government (a monarchy).

Rank: A daughter of one of the upper middle-class families of Arath, the Norn clan. 'Ber' signifies her gender and immaturity.

Appearance: Short green-brown hair, pale greenish skin, blue-green eyes. 4'10", gangly. Wears the la-*test*-('") fashion on Arath-- a loose short-sleeved black tunic cut off just below the chest area, over a bright blue minidress, with heavy-duty brown sandals for running. Her glidewings are smaller than most girls her age, only 6 inches wide at the elbow, so she has to run more often.

Abilities: Fast runner, intelligent for her age, tries harder at everything because of her disadvantages in height (most Areesh, by the age of 20, are at least 5 ft tall; at full maturity (about 40), they average 7-8 feet).

History: Soyalla was a tiny baby, and didn't open her eyes until age 1 (as opposed to the usual 8 months). She wasn't flying until 7 (normally 4), although she started speaking fluent Areesh two years before other children, at 6. She started academy at 15 along with the other children, and was one of the best in her class, but still sadly undersized. Her parents gave her a resume and work application to fill out a year before most parents did, at 24, but 'Yalla succeeded in her first job, as a food deliverer for the local restaurant. Now she works as an assistant deliverer for the Bara's (Queen) and Tron's (King) personal delivery/messenger service.

Relations: She was born in the spring to Mayna Bar'Norn and Sopeyd Tro'Norn, workers at a Communications Center. She has one older brother, 39-year-old Merok Tre'Norn, who works as an advisor on the Anti-Pollution Committee, along with his spouse, Kiyara Ber'Varen.

Psyche/Misc.: Bright and determined, Soyalla puts 210% effort into everything she does, because of her disadvantage and insecurity. This doesn't stop her from being your average cheerful, friendly 27-year-old girl; if anything, she tries harder to be charming than usual.
