Kathryn lead Emeri to the side cavern that Thawn and Elrond had settled into with Mari. She made sure that there was enough food for all the hatchlings, then seeing as there were now candidates for the other hatchlings, she settled down with her dragonic Bond-mates.

OOC: I am greatly lacking in both inspiration and time, and as I fear I won't have another chance to reply, I thought I'd send this little bit out anyway.

Syresluna nodded once more and made small motion of her thanks before moving closer to the sands. She did not let her eyes seek the hatchlings out, instead willing her senses to feel out their presence. She winced, empathically sensing the pain of one of the hatchlings, and felt an answered jab in her abdomen. Almost laughing, she laid a hand on her swollen belly and smiled slightly. She then let her eyes find the hatchlings, the darling emerald and the wounded platinum. Syres could see the rift in the delicate wing and winced again… As she gazed at the two hatchlings she was left slightly uncertain, feeling no particular pull from either of them, though they both seemed so dear. Should she approach both of them, or perhaps wait for one or the other to notice her? Syres was unsure as well how to deal with these feelings, so unaccustomed to them, and wrote them off as an effect of her pregnancy.

Karon nodded "I'm sure that you will. We have plenty of room!"
Kikkia grinned "Karon can talk for hours as-well. They should get along just fine." She pause, listening to the rest of her words. "How 'bout Ambre? And I'd feed you but I don't know were the food is..."
Karon thought and said "G'nte? I dodn't know where the food is eather...."

The Emerald Gauzewing smiled in relief as his leg ceased to hurt. He looked up at Eliza, *Thank you for helping me! And the name Ezwelden is good! It is an honour too take it* and he scrambled up, -*test*-('")ing his leg. When it didn't hurt he grinned, *I need food now. I have no pain, thank you*

Srrmaie heard Reno speak to her and sent back to her *You are welcome, now speak quieter, she will hear you* a smile in her voice, she nevertheless meant it. This situation could get dangerous!

The Rubies smiled down at Reno, *You are welcome, and it is good to lie down, we ARE getting tired* and both winked at her then closed their eyes, they may as well nap while they could!

Lawvirn looked at Ran, *Yes we are protected by the others, it is nice to lie with you though. I wonder if my dam will let the other dragon in?* and she curled tighter round Ran. *Well if she does we will still be safe* and she nodded decisivley.

Srrmaie looked at Serani, her head moving closer to her, she had to admire the girl for not flinching. *I would prefer it if your dragon waited outside, I do not wanyt any others in at the minute* and she flickered her tounge again, lifting her head in surprise as the Emerald hatching who had been wandering around ran between her and the girl. "Who are you?* the hatchling enquired of Serani.

The Platinum Gauzewing lifted her head as she felt a another mind touch hers. She looked around and saw a woman who had not been there before looking at her. She chirped a query at her, she was too tired to move so if the woman wanted her she would have to come to her.

The Amber grinned at Kikkia, *I'm sure he can and they will!* and then she nodded *Ambre is a fine name and the food is over here* and she started off to the food. The Garnet smiled too *I like G'nte, and shall we follow my sister to the food?* he nudged Karon before him, too hungry to be polite.

Serani looked into the eyes of the mother Kristayl. "I understand completely. She probably would just cause trouble anyway." She added politely, almost laughing. Serani turned at the Emerald hatchling's question. "My name is Serani, who are you little one?"She inquired of the hatcling.

"You're welcome" Eliza said, happily at his approval " Lets get you some food, shall we?" she said before turning back to platinum dragon22 and "thank you for letting me come", before she led ezwelden over to the food then out of the hatching.

Srrmaie rumbled her amusement. *Good, I am glad you understand your dragon's limits* and she watched the entrance, NOONE would get through there without a good reason. She did NOT like the 'feel' of the dragons outside!

The Emerald stared down at Serani *I do not have a name* he said wistfully *Why do the dragons outside feel bad to me?* He sniffed the air in the direction of the entrance, *They smell wrong!*

Srrmaie looked down at Eliza, *Congratulations* she said *I will tell Platinum you were here* and she watched them leave the cavern, smiling.

Serani looked toward the entrance. "Feel bad? But it's probably my dragon and her mate. Maybe because she is clutching?"She looked at Srrmaie."Do you think they "feel" bad?"Serani asked, wondering why Rinma and Triwn smelled funny to the hatchling.

Rinma turned to her mate>>I am worried about Serani. She has been a long time. I want to see if she is okay.<< Triwn hissed at her to stop her.>>No. There is an adult Kristayl in there, not to mention the fact that her clutch is hatching! She would kill you! Think of our children.<<He told his mate anxiosly. Rinma looked at him indignatly.>>How dare you tell me what to do! If I think my chosen is in danger, I will go help her!<<Rinma roared angrilly at her mate. Her roar loud enough for the dragons in the hatching grounds to hear.

Serani gasped at her dragon's angry roar.>>Rinma! NO! DON'T COME IN HERE! SHE'LL KILL YOU!<< Serani yelled so loudly in her mind that all the dragons in the area could hear her, anguish in her voice. She had never really loved her dragon, but to lose her for no aparent reason, other than worry for Serani, would hurt her more than anything in the world.

The Emerald looked at Serani. *She is angry and means harm to someone* he whined *She is also sad behind that* he trembled, unhappy. Srrmaie lovered her head to him, comforting him and looked at Serani. *Why is he unhappy?* No sooner had she asked then she heard a roar from outside. A bellow rumbled from her as she flung herself forward in anger. She had barely reached the entrance when a call from outside stilled her. *We have her here, and her mate, although he does not seem to be a danger* hissing and snarling she ran out of the entrance, transformed from a doting mother into a raging demon in her frenzy. She stormed outside to find a strange dragon suspended midair in a cage of sparks and a Ruby Kristayl! She stormed up to him, seeming to have grown in her rage *HOW could you bring danger HERE!* then hissed at the other dragon, *Bring her down, NOW!* she roared, too angry to be polite. As the cage was lowered she hissed at the strange dragon, *Why do you come here? Why do you bring trouble to my hatching?* She heard a shout from inside and half turned. *I will take care of it* said Mrlarr *You take care of her and the Ruby* Srrmaie turned, *You are both in trouble, I will watch you till the hatchlings are all paired, THEN we shall talk* her eyes were blood red and she swung her head, how DARE this imposter threaten the saftey of others!

Rinma was for the first time in her life, scared.>>Triwn...I believe you were right...<<She said quietly to her mate.>>Trouble? I bring trouble? The sisters are the ones who brought trouble to this hatching! They belong to my eggs! Not these Kristayl hatchlings!<< She roared toward Srrmaie and Mrrlar. Angry that the Kristayl even think that this was her fault. The sisters had only lived to this day because she wanted them for her hatchlings.
Triwn looked comfortingly toward his mate. He hated to make the female Kristayl angry..but Rinma's rider couldn't even control her, let alone he! What was this cage that had appeared? Had one of the Kristayl's done it? Triwn couldn't do anything like that, and he was a ruby kristayl. He sent to Rinma.>>Of course I was right! Why do you never listen to me or Serani? We're both in trouble now!<<He added angrily. He was in trouble with two of his own kind. That was deffinately not good.

Serani ran toward the entrance as fast as she could. She had to get rid of that cage. What if it hurt Rinma? Serani was almost there when she met Srrmaie, who was coming back in, in the hall.

Srrmaie was halfway back to the hatching when she ran into Serani. The girl's thoughts were clear. Srrmaie snaked her head down, and hissed at her *Silly girl, it wont hurt her, she is safer in there, belive me! the magic of the Starflares is strong and will keep her away from ME without harm!* She turned and stormed back out. *You will NOT shout at me! There are other candidates for your eggs, these girls belong to Kristayls now, even this one!* and she pointed at Serani. She watched the strange dragon carefully, half hoping the cage would break.
The Emerald had been shocked when Serani had ran out, creeling in sorrow he followed her and reached the entrance in time to hear his mother shouting, he jerked back in shock and felt one wing catch on the wall and snap. He screamed in pain and fell. *SERANI! WHERE ARE YOU?* he blacked out with the pain. With a roar Srrmaie grabbed the cage and shook it. *LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE* she screamed and threw it. She turned towards the injured hatchling and nuzzled him, trying to wake him up.

Serani ran back towards the hatchling."Is he allright?"She asked Srrmaie, and at the same time safely floated Rinma to the ground, and said to the hatchling*Please wake up! It will be okay! I will help you, but you must wake up first!*She yelled so loudly in her mind that once again all the dragons could hear the panic in her voice.

Rinma laughed inside at the force the kristayl used to throw the cage. Then what Srrmaie had said sunk in. *Serani has another?*She said in shock as the cage floated to the ground.*You gave mine another!!!*She yelled loudly at Mrrlar and Srrmaie. How dare they take hers from her! *AND the sisters have kristayls now!*Rinma glared in the direction of the hatching grounds. She would deal with that later. Right now, she had to get out of this cage and get Serani away from that hatchling.

Triwn turned to Mrrlar.*I know you might not like my advise....but....Rinma won't take long in getting out of that cage....she can....use Serani's power to do so...*Triwn warned the other dragon.

Srrmaie hissed at Serani, then pulled her head back a little *I don't know if he is ok. He is too still for my liking* and she nudged him.
Far away, deep in his head, the hatchling heard someone call to him. SERANI! He couldn't get to her, he couldn't move it was too cold and dark and he was scared, something was sapping her energy and he tried to call out but failed. He sank back to the darkness.

Srrmaie thundered to the cage. *No, I did not give, they CHOSE to come, and they have impressed! You can do nothing to stop them. Yours is still yours, she just has another.* and she turned away, walking straight into Triwn. She heard as he spoke then answered *The Starflare magic CANNOT be broken. No force can stop them if they do not want to.* and she hissed at him, *This is not your fault, but you BOTH are in big trouble*

Triwn flinched at the mother kristayls anger.*Okay....but I would see if Serani is okay, Rinma is trying to use Serani's magic to escape.* He said softly enough so Rinma couldn't hear him.

Serani felt something sapping at her energy. She was beginning to feel very tired. She laid both hands on the head of the hatchling, and whispered,"It will be okay."She used her magic to heal the poor creature. It had been her fault the Emerald had been hurt. She had to do something about it.*You must come back to me darling!*She said quietly in her mind. Serani was beginning to feel weakened. Healing shouldn't take this much energy. What was taking her power? She turned toward the entrance, wishing she knew where Srrmaie or another dragon was. Serani sat sat down with her head on the hatchling, and abruptly everything went black.

Rinma was confused. Why wasn't the cage going away? She kept adding a little more power to the spell. She trumpeted in alarm when she felt Serani's mind lose her's and her hold on the power was broken off. But Serani blacking out couldn't cause that...so what had? She looked around in confusion again. Had Rinma used all of Serani's power? That would explain the sudden loss of Serani's mind in her's. Rinma trumpeted in alarm again and tried to break free, but it was no use. Who would help her's? *Serani!!!* Rinma yelled loud enough for everyone near the grounds to hear.

Syresluna watched for a moment as the emerald moved toward another candidate and turned her gaze back on the platinum. Surely she was the one that Syres had felt drawn to, or else she would not have felt the hatchling's pain so keenly without a bond. She heard the faint sound of query the wounded dragonet made and met her eyes, moving toward her even before she realized it. In one fluid movement she knelt down close to her, at the same time rending a strip of the gauze-like fabric from a sleeve. Though she hadn't any healing powers, the least she could do was try and stop the bleeding. "Little one, will you let me help you? I will do all that I can."

She then remembered that she had stored a few various herbs and a small jar of some poultice in the pouch hanging from her waist. Trying to think if any would aid the hatchling, she laid the cloth across her leg and emptied the pouch and grabbed the poultice, which would help numb the wound and encourage clotting. Dabbing some onto the cloth, careful not to come into much contact with it, she explained, “This will help the pain and stop most of the bleeding, if not all of it…” She smiled at the hatchling trying to reassure her; she looked so tired and Syres was determined that the hatchling would not black out while she was around. Opplueasse manor had many healers skilled in the anatomy and care of dragons, should she perhaps send for one of them? She thought briefly about sending for Heluar, but her friend was most likely still using her healing powers to keep her husband from dying; even now the wound from the xenomorph attack had barely healed and Jacob was greatly weakened. She waited for the hatchlings reply, not willing to try anything without her consent- but she wouldn't wait much longer, the hatchling certainly couldn't go on like this!
