ooc: thanks...i tend to get lost in the onslaught of posts that hatchings tend to breed =)

ooc: poor guy all the way at the beginning...lets see what i can do seeing as i'm a sucker for emerald anything =)

IC: Marken had been looking around the sands carefully and at first glance it seemed that all the hatchlings had found someone. After a second look he spotted an emerald colored hatchling, one of the huge ones. Smiling both mentally and physically he sent to the emerald hatchling, *I would say greetings little one, but you are anything but small. You will grow to be quite a mighty creature would you like someone to fly the skies with?* At this Marken sent an image of himself in his true draconic form, a blue dragon with yellow and silver streaks, flying through the cloudless skies of Triial. If he was lucky, the dragonet would be tempted.

Aiyana looked around once more and nearly missed a step as she saw the platinum gauzewing that she had missed all along.. "Yes, it is very very warm where i am, you would like it!!!!" The girl grinned broadly almost with a new-found confidence. "How would you like the name 'Lamantia'..... i think it's pretty"..

Then she saw the emerald soldier that was peeking around the back of the platinum gauzewing, but saw Maira talking to him and watched closely as she walked closer to her new platinum friend...

((OOC: What planet have i been on that i msised this??? Remind me to read posts MUCH more closely...sorry pd )

With a smile the Garnet looked up at his chosen. *I like that name! Syianitii I shall be!* and he wriggled with glee. As his bond reached to touch muzzles with him he watched as on his left forearm appeared. He smiled as it wound around. *It is beautiful!* he sent *Now we may shine to all!*

The Silver looked at Ryalla. *I was just trying to smash this egg around me open* he said *And all of a sudden it just disintigrated!* and he frowned *That is good! But the problem is, I didn't move at the time! I heard a bang, then here I am, on the floor in eggshells!* He looked around himself for a few more seconds, then stood. Rather unsteadily he wobbled his way to her. *Do you know many games?* he asked, shaking off his uncertainty and smiling, before falling to the floor. Sheepishly he looked up at her.

The Diamond queen looked over to Talla. With a nod she moved towards her. *I like the small one* she smiled, *Tiny!* and then smiled at her *I AM hungry! There is food over there if you care to help me?* with her head on one side she awaited an answer.

Watching the candidates and their bonds, the Emerald felt a bit left out. He looked around him and sighed. Did no one like him! Just as he thought that he heard a voice. Looking up, he saw a man with blue hair. Snorting softly in curiosity, he moved a few steps closer *You are right! I am not so little!* he replied, then started slightly as he recieved a vision of a dragon flying........but the man was the dragon! Eyes wide in wonder he walked a few steps towards the man/dragon.........Marken was his name? *I would love to have a companion! I thought I was unwanted!* and he smiled. *Do you have food?*

With a smile the Platinum leapt to Aiyana's feet. She had noticed her at last! *I had been considering jumping on you to gain your attention!* she sent and pressed her muzzle against the girl, *I am glad you noticed me and you need not hide now for you have me! I am looking forward to the warm place you will take me and I love my name! But....* and she looked at her stomach which growled loudly *I need to eat!* and she looked from Aiyana to the table.

Srrmaie smiled at Mrrlar, *They have found their partners love* she sent and turned to check the other eggs, by the rocking they should hatch soon! As the thought crossed her mind, 4 eggs shattered, two Gauzewings and two Kristayls emerged. The gauzewings were males, one Jade one Onyx, and the kristayls were males also, both Ruby. Crooning, the four hatchlings headed to the sands in search of their people.

Aiyana laughed softly, "I'm sooo sorry Lamantia!!!! Let's go and get you some food now" She boldly led the platinum among the other dragons, sidestepping one of the one of the Kristayl eggs that had just split open and the other eggs to where the food was began to feed her.

"Easy now, not so much at a time... there's lots here, so i'm sure that we won't run out!!!"

Elianna and Aithen had both been watching the others from their group approach dragonets and while they may not have felt immediately drawn to any of those yet to hatch they were both content to wait. The longer they watched both had begun to wonder if the rest of the eggs were going to hatch. Their wait wasn't long though for shortly after marken had approached the emerald krystayl four more eggs shattered, two of each type.

Almost before the egg shells landed on the sands both Elianna and Aithen had taken step towards the two smaller hatchlings Eli towards the Onyx and Aithen towards the Jade. Although both had stepped forward at the same time it was Aithen who made contact first for hed had felt a deffinate call to his soul, *Little man, is your calling to the Earth as mine is?* Aithen had never felt this immediate connection before and he was a little shocked. When Eli finally spoke it was with respect and love in her voice, *Sweet one, would you want me as a companion?* She too felt something stronger than normal with this dragonet but unlike her brother she couldn't quite place it.

OOC: sorry for two posts in a row but I thought one big one with all 5 characters might be a tad confusing =)

Ryalla smiled in wonder at the silver's voice as it danced in her mind explaining his confusion and then asking if she knew any games. Before she had had a chance to answer him though, the poor little dear had wound up face first in the sands. With a small laugh at his newborn clumsiness she bent down to him and gently helped him back to his feet. Once he was righted and looking at her with questioning eyes once more she answered him, *Little man I know more games than you probably think I should.* At the slightly perplexed look oh his face she smiled and sent him an image of herself and Marken, as young dragonets learning to fly, chasing each other through cloudbanks and playing hide and seek among the trees and caves of their home. *You see sweet boy, I too am a dragon and though I'm no long a dragonet, I still love to play. Will you come play with me?* The hope was shining out of her eyes as she waited for the small silver to answer her.

Talla was quite surprised at the diamond's statement, was the queen referring to herself or to the baby strapped to her back. Unsure Talla just shrugged the thought away for now and ran over to where the food was set aside. As she returned she held some chunks out towards the dragonet and she said, *The little one is newly hatched like yourself sweet girl, you two can grow up together. You will be able to teach him to fly if you wish, I'm sure he'd be honored.* Talla hoped she had interpreted the young queens earlier statements for if she hadn't and the queen hadn't known at all about the baby, she might change her mind. Unsure of what to expect Talla just continued to offer the food she had brought.

Unsurprised that the dragonet asked for food Marken reached into his pockets and pulled out a few pieces that he had snatched from the tables on his way into the hatching grounds. As he stretched out his chunks of meat to the large hatchling Marken said with mock astonishment, *You silly boy, why would anybody not want you?* Then pausing dramatically to pretend thinking for a moment he added, *I think maybe nobody saw you because you were hiding and waiting for me, could that be true?* He hoped that the young Emerald could sense his playfull attitude and that it would encourage the hatchling to play along.

"You won't get a proper look at it if you keep walking around yourself like that. Do it like this, see?" Shimmer said. Then the black winterdragon unfolded one of her own wings, tilting it vertically as she turned her head to look at it. While appearing mostly black, there was a hint of opalescence within the black in certain places as the wing-membrane shifted.
"As your wings are attached to your back, they have a tendency to move when you are. And if you find our wings a bit hard to control now, it will get easier with practice and excercise to strenghen those muscles".

Hearing Srrmaie's reply, Shimmer nodded. Hopefully the hatchling would manage at her or his own, but she would certainly do her best to help the little one if neccessary.

There were still four unbonded hatchlings on the sands...a jade and an onyx Gauzewing and two ruby Kristayls...and eight more unhatched eggs.

Cinnamin was still waiting; hopeful that one of the new hatchlings would consider her acceptable. She gave congrats to each of the newly bonded couples as they moved away to the feeding areas, but kept her place on the sands. No way, was she going to forfiet her chances to Impress.

Sending continuous thoughts of welcome and love, she waited for new developments...

The Jade hatchling turned his head, he felt a prescence. There! He looked round at the man to the left of him and heard his query. With a shock of excitement and surprise running down his back, he moved forward and answered. *Yes, my ability IS Earth* he sent, *We are kindred spirits!* and he moved closer still. *I can control and call the powers of the Earth, bring or settle the great earthshakes!* and he smiled *Or I will when older* and he raised his head in pride, promptly over balancing onto his back. With a sheepish grin, he managed to turn himself over and smiled up at Aithen, *I do not need to ask if you want me do I?*

The Onyx watched her brother walk to the man and sighed, she hoped she would be so lucky! As she watched him and what must be his new bond, she sighed again, then felt/heard a voice speak to her. Turning she saw a girl looking at her, love clear in her eyes. With a shake of her head she walked to her caller. As she got closer she felt a connection to this.....Elianna, that was her name! *I would have you as a companion! There could be no other way! You are to be mine, I KNOW it* and she stumbled her way towards her chosen, needing to be close now she had found her.

MAIRA 2

The Silver looked up at Ryalla, wonder in his eyes as he saw the image she sent him. With a broad smile appearing on his face he stood up and said, *I would LOVE to come with you! You helped me AND you know games!* Switching from foot to foot in excitement, he watched Ryalla, waiting for her reply.

The Diamond watched her chosen one as she went for food and returned with a handful. As she took the food from Talla's hand gently she said *I will be able to teach him to fly?!* and she swallowed her food, looking up at Talla and *I will come if I am welcome there!* and she grinned, head on one side, *It will be good to have a bond with a young one!* smiling at her chosen she wriggled the tip of her tail through the sand.

The Emerald looked at Marken out of the corner of his eye as he spoke, then a slow smile appeared on his face as he realised that he was being teased. *Yes!* he said *I was waiting for you, that is why I was not noticed! It is good to have you finally appear.......* and he looked over at the others, a mischevious look replacing the smile *I think I shall like living with you, we will have fun!!!* and he took the offered meat from his bond's hand.

The Diamond paused in her spiralling. She watched as the black dragon before her lifted her wing, smiled as her wing shimmered. *I will try that!* she said, and lifted her wing as far as she could, smiling as the light did indeed catch in her wing and glimmered. *Well, I will have to make sure I work on strengthening my muscles* she said with a chuckle. Looking at her chosen she said *Will you teach me more things* and she smiled *I am also hungry!*

One of the Ruby hatchlings paused in her search. From behind her she felt a stream of welcoming thoughts and turned to investigate. She started in surprise as she saw the sender. *Hello* she said, moving forward, careful not to fall, least she accidentally caught the small winged person befor her. *Were you thinking at me? You are very pretty!* and she smiled, sitting down in the sands to wait for an answer.

OOC: Sorry if the posts lack in content, I have trouble thinking at the minute lol!

Cinnamin smiled wide and cautiously reached up to scratch the newly hatched ruby on her eyeridge........

The Ruby female looked at her new bond, for she had chosen her as soon as she saw her! Both, in her mind, were unusual. She crooned and tilted her head into the caress she was recieving and replied, *I would love to be your bondmate! May we go for food? I am STARVING!* and she looked at the food tables wistfully.

Cin was overjoyed and she gave the hatchling a quick hug before leading her over to the feeding area...

As she fed the little one, she sent her images of what would be her new home...Spice Castle. The castle was a busy place...friends, relatives and guests coming and going...spells being cast or rituals in progress...trade caravans arriving with fresh supplies and tempting luxuries...player groups and gypsy trains to entertain everyone...and of course, all of the creatures and other beings who called Spice Castle their home.

Aithen lunged forward to catch the hatchling as he fell but was too late. Worry flooded his heart, had the little Jade been hurt? Once the dragonet righted himself Aithen knew that he would be fine. At the dragonets semi-question Aithen answered with a smile, *There is no question to it little man. I knew i wanted you the second your shell shattered.* At the look in the hatchlings eye's Aithen knew that the small one felt the same. Reaching out to him Aithen carressed the Jade hatchling's jaw and asked him, *So, before we get you food would I be able to know your name? You're a wonderful little man and while that is a fine nickname I think I should be calling you something proper.* Aithen continued to caress the dragonet and waited for the little one's answer.

As the small Onyx stumbled her way towards her Elianna knelt down and as the dragonet reached her she enfolded her in her arms. *As you wish my love, I am yours.* Tears sprang to Elianna's eyes unbidden at the sudden love for this little one overwhelmed her. Even her bonding to Ryalla had not been quite so emotionally charged, what was it about this hatchling? *So my sweet girl, do you have a name?* As she asked a thought began to pick at Elianna's mind but as she tried to concentrate on it the thought dissappeared. It would be back later.
