Mari and Kathryn's gazes meet as Mari stepped into the cavern for a closer look at the Amber male. Mari snorted a short laugh, Kathryn shall Bond him, as far as I am concerned... for untill he is grown I cannot Bond him as my mate, and I am not as good with Hatchlings as my Bond-mate!
Kathryn rolled her eyes, "You only say that, Mari, because I am a Red-Gold Hybrid... and you are a genetic mix of a yellow-gold and a red... you are good with hatchlings though... but I wouldn't want you to feel you were mating your own son!" Mari glared at Kathryn and Kathryn stuck out her tongue at the orange dragon, "Don't look at me so, Mari!" Kathryn watched the Amber male for a few moments and then approached him carefully, "Greetings, young Amber. You honor us with your presance." Kathryn bows her head respectfully.

The amber male turned his head from the mari to Kathryn, listening to the conversation between the two then smiled as Kathryn came towards him. *You are funny you two! Am I to become this dragons mate then? Maybe I will come with you! Do you know games?* and he sat in the sand, tail twitching from side to side as he awaited an answer.

Kathryn smiled at the Amber male, "I'm glad you find us amusing... and I have 30 hatchlings of my own blood, so I know a few games. Most of which have to do with building wit and wing strength.... Mari wishes a mate, but we will worry about that when you are grown."

*Well it will be nice to play with you!* and he smiled at Mari *And you too* and he grinned. As he was about to add more his stomach growled, *I'm afraid I need feeding!* he said *And a name would be good too!* he stayed sitting in the sand, smiling up at his new bond and her dragon.

Mari eyed the hatchling critically, I will bring food for him, while you think of a name, Kathryn.
Kathryn nodded and thought for a few moments on a name for the Amber male. She then said to the hatchling, "How would you like to be called Thawn?"

The hatchling looked at Kathryn, head to one side then smiled. *I like that name! It is a very nice one!* and he smiled. *I think I will enjoy being with you! You seem to be a nice person and your dragon is nice too* and he sat, waiting for his food. He was lucky to have found a good bond! his clutchmates were looking around and he hoped they'd find their bonds soon but he was happy to be with his!

Mari came back with food for the hatchlings and Elrond came over to join Thawn. Kathryn smiled at the parent dragons, "I believe you have given me more blessings in this short time, than I have had in a long time. Thank you, Honored Ones."

Mrlarr and Srrmaie nodded to Kathryn, watching their new bonded offspring. *You have honoured us with your prescence* Srrmaie said *Thank you for attending here and well done on your two* with a smile she turned to watch the new unpaired hatchlings. Mrlarr nodded his thanks then turned to watch the entrance, making sure he would see any newcomers.

Kathryn looked around the sands at all the unbonded dragons, "Your kind must bond to live, if I remember correctly, Honored Ones... but there are no Bonds for so many of your children. I wish I could help..." Kathryn drifts into silence as she realizes that her mothering instincts are coming forward. She mutters to herself, "I really should not have been a Red-gold..."

OOC:How old does someone have to be to bond Plat? Is 11 old enough?

A lone girl comes running onto the sands and stops, bending over to catch her breath. She had barely made it. At least there were more hatchlings still to be bonded. She stood up and saw the adult dragons. "Please forgive me, Great Ones, for arriving so late. It took the flit a while to find me. My name is Reno. Would I be considered worthy of your younglings?" She bowed and awaited their answer. She, in all truth, had seen the flit, and hid from it hoping it wouldn't find her. But it's frantic calls had begun to wake up her little sister, whom, hopefully, hadn't followed her. Ranote would be even more of a mess if she bonded. Hopefully 11 was too young for Ranote to bond. Hopefully. What would Reno do with two extra mouths to feed? She could barely feed her and her sister, let alone two dragonlings! She realized she had been lost in her thoughts again and awaited the dragon's answer. Just as she started to relax, she felt a little hand in hers, and groaned.


Ranote ran in after her sister had spoken to the dragons. Boy were they big! She ran up to Reno, and grabbed her sister's hand. The flit had said for her to come too. Had it known she could hear other people, and some animal's, thoughts? Ranote hoped her sister wouldn't find out. Reno had been so relieved when Ranote had lied and told her she heard nothing of the sort. Ranote looked into the eyes of the large dragons, the ones she assumed to be the sire and dame, and just stared.

OOC: ugh, please forgive me, I don't know how I missed this!

As he stroked the jade hatchling Aithen had been thinking about names so when the little one asked for a name Aithen was prepared. Without any further thought or hesitation he said quietly, "What do you think of the name Taevan little one?" He hoped that the jade hatchling would like his choice but just in case he started to ponder alternates.

"Of course I'll give you a name my love! Just let me think a moment." Snuggling her sweet little onyx closer to her Elianna nibbled at her lip while she thought. Suddenly a name popped into her mind, "Sweet one, I'm not sure what language this is but I just can't get the name out of my mind. What do you think of Taika? I believe it means magical." Elianna really was quite puzzled at where the name came from. She knew it could be a Triiallan name but it sure wasn't human. Oh well, it was pretty all the same and if the little onyx liked it who was she to complain.

Ryalla tried to keep from laughing at the antics of her little silver bond but failed. A small peal of laughter escaped from her mouth and even though she covered her mouth quickly with her hands she couldn't hide the smile that replaced the laughter. "Sweet boy, you are more than welcome to have as much food as you want I can easily get you more." To show him what she meant she concentrated for a moment and before the silvers snout appeared a rather large pile of meat. At the astonished look on his face Ryalla smiled even more, she couldn't help it. As the young silver ate his meal Ryalla racked her mind for a name for him. "Zekaitan," she finally blurted. Then realizing she had thought out loud tried to explain to him, "What do you think of the name Zekaitan little man? I hope you don't mind but it is a name among my kind, will it suit you?"

Talla was more than a little relieved that the diamond hatching had been so accepting of her son. Most Triiallans (both human and dragon) weren't nearly so accepting. At the hatchling's request for more food Talla offered what was left in the basket she had gone to fetch the first time. As she watched the diamond hatchling eat a name kept running through her mind. Not sure just how to propose it to her finally Talla just asked, "Do you need a name pretty girl? If you do what do you think of Esenna?" Talla hoped she hadn't offended the dragonet and just waited for her answer.

At the playful tone in the emerald dragonet's voice Marken smiled wide. He was going to have lots of fun with this not so little hatchling. Striking a thoughtful pose he tapped at his chin. "Hmmm, I wonder what would be a good name for you, hmmm." Sighing dramatically he said down hearted, "I can't think of a grand enough name for you my by." Then, suddenly, his eyes opened wide and his hands flew into the air, "I've got it!" he shouted. "You are going to be big as a forest so why don't we call you that? How about Sarvio?" In all honesty Marken had been thinking of that name for a while already before the hatchling even said anything so he hoped that it was well recieved.

Srrmaie looked down at Kathryn. She lowered her head to Kathryn, tounge flicking in and out and eyes taking on a reddish hue. *I worry about them! There are three unbonded and 11 to hatch. There will be enough people for them, there always is, but I will allow you to try for another* and her eyes altered colour as Mrlarr spoke to her *Now then dear, you dont want to scare anyone!* he then spoke to Kathryn *Sorry, this is her first hatching and she worries about them* He motioned her towards the eggs with his head.

As she calmed, Srrmaie looked at the entrance and saw a girl run into the cavern, plainly out of breath she stopped. Srrmaie leaned towards her as she spoke. *11 is a bit young but you may be capable of a bond. We pretty much take care of ourselves after a week, we are after all large dragons.* and she smiled, she had KNOWN there would be more people ready to bond. *If you bond you are welcome to stay for a while till you are comfortable with looking after your new friend* and she raised her head *That goes for everyone else* As she was speaking to the new girl another, smaller girl run in and hold Reno's hand. She lowered her head to the new one. *Hello there little one. Are you looking to bond too?* she smiled at her, she was sweet.

The little Jade looked at Aithen. A half smile on his face he considered the name. The smile spreading across his face he spoke *How could any name you pick for me not be the right one dear one? I will gladly take the name Taevan. thank you* He was so happy, he had a bond and a name what more could he want? His stomach was a bit empty. *I could use some food* he said.

The Onyx raised her head to Elianna's face. *Taika?* she said *that is an interesting name!* she looked into Elianna's eyes, *I like it. Thank you for choosing a good name for me* contentment radiating from her, she snuggled in again. This was a good place to be!

The Silver cocked his head as Ryalla laughed. she was funny! The grin on his face was replaced by a look of wonder, rather mingled with shock as a pile of food appeared before him. Well, there was food, no matter how it had appeared! Smiling up at Ryalla, he began to eat. He was enjoying his meal when she spoke to him. "Zekaitan. What do you think of the name Zekaitan little man? I hope you don't mind but it is a name among my kind, will it suit you?" he looked up at her. *I like that name my bond, I think it will suit me well!* not wanting to appear ungrateful at her choice of name he tried to refrain from eating for a while longer, but hunger got the better of him and with a shrug he began to eeat again *I AM sorry to seem like I'm ignoring you but I am REALLY hungry* He had just spoke when he hiccoughed, it happened again and his eyes crossed as it did. Well, That was different!

As the Diamond was eating, she thought of how much fun she would have as she grew! A bond, someone to play with.....she was very lucky! At the edge of her mind? Hearing?.......She wasn't sure....she could hear Talla thinking. She was about to ask what was wrong when Talla spoke "Do you need a name pretty girl? If you do what do you think of Esenna?" The Diamond put her head to the side and looked up at her bond. *How did you know I needed a name? Esenna is a good name! I will take it* and she nodded decisivly *Yes That is the right name for me!* gently she stroked Talla with her head.

The Emerald looked at Marken, a grin on his face, as his bond pondered a name for him. His eyes widened as he said that he couldn't think of a name for him, the grin wavering for a moment. As Marken suddenly threw his hands in the air and shouted, the Emerald fell backwards, then picked himself up. Shaking sand off himself he heard the name Marken proposed. Well that seemed like a good name! Still shaking sand of himself, a devilish look spread across his face. *Well, that name is alright, but...........I'm not too sure....* He hoped that he hadn't offended Marked, he did like the name, *I'LL TAKE IT* he shouted grinning all over his face *I am proud to be known as Sarvio!* and he nuzzled Marken. *Thank you*

OOC: That silver reminds me of Aariern, my Silver. Maybe it's a trait of Silvers to be clowns?

"Thank you for allowing me to attend the hatching. If I bond to one of you younglings, I will hopefully make you, and your dragonling, proud." Reno said in answer to the draogn."I do hope that I am not too young to bond. My sister here is only 7 so she most likely won't bond. Thank you, honoured ones, for allowing me to attend."Hopefully Ranote would do as Reno had done, and not embarress her. With that thought, Reno walked over to where she would have a good view of the dragonlings as they hatched.

Ranote watched as her sister walked away, wishing Reno hadn't left her alone with the dragons."My name's Ranote, but my sister calls me Ran. Am I too young to bond? I would love nothing more! I would understand if you didn't want me to try though, as I am so young. May I try? Pretty please great ones?" Ranote had a feeling she had said something wrong and suddenly felt scared. Maybe she sould just go home. But what would she do without Reno to help her? What if Reno bonded? Would she leave Ranote behind?
