General Description
Myth stands that the Wraith Dragon are the ghosts of a now extinct race of Dragon which inhabited dense woodlands. Folklaw has them as the physical manifestations of Dragons which died in the shell unhatched.
Neither of these is correct.
Wraith Dragons live between the borders of this realm and the next. They generaly appear as mist like, although they posses the ability to become solid at will. They must be solid to mate, the female must remain in this state while pregnant. The male becomes solid to guard the eggs once his mate has clutched.
Eggs hatch within 7-8 weeks after being laid, the hatchings remain solid for a period of 2-5 days before instinct renders them mist like.
Hide colour varies across the spectrum, all with a smokey overtone.
Wraiths are of slim build, without spikes. The tail is smooth ending in a slight point, and retains prehensile abilities.

Special Abilities
Due to the wraith's dual realm nature they are able to transfer their bonded partner half way between realms, rendering them both transparent and able to move though objects in this realm.

Does this creature need to bond? - Yes
If yes, when? - can bond at any time during its life span.
Anything else odd about it, such as being able to eat only blue food. - If unbonded by 8 months old the Wraith dragon will fail to mature and be rendered sterile. In the wild wraiths will bond to another of its species and remain as a lifebound pair, but, they can and do bond to another lifeform if present at the time of hatching. The baby dragons are disorentated when they hatch, attracted to any movement, they can occasionaly make mistakes and have been know to accidently bond with trees.

Specific Physical Statistics
Size at birth - 50cm – 1m long nose to tail tip. Height 25cm for every 50cm long
Size at maturity – 2m long, 1m high, 3m wingspan.
Time to maturity – fully grown at 6 months, able to breed from 8 months.
Number of wings/arms/legs if a peculiar number – 2 pairs of legs, the front pair developed into arm like appendages, the 4 claws are used as pseudo hands. 1 pair of wings, evolved from 2 pairs the wing sail now stretches between 2 'fingers' – a large front finger on the leading edge and a much smaller 'finger' near the tail edge which stablise the wing during flight.
Scales? Hide? Feathers? – Hide, smooth which feels like shamouis leather.

How smart are they? – Un-bonded comparable to a 7 year old human child. Bonded varies dependent on species & IQ of bondee. Those bonded with trees general thought to be thick as two short planks!
