Leviathan

General Description: the leviathan is a race of sea-dwelling, sapient 'reptiles' resembling the kronosaur. However, their bodies are more stream-lined and elegant of build, and their tails ends in a shark-like fin. When young, all leviathans are white, but their color change as they become older; from white, to gold, grey and finally to various shades of blue when they are truly anicent. Due to that leviathans never stop growing, it isn`t unusual that anicent individuals can become as long as two hundred meters from nostrils to tail-tip.
Warm-blooded, leviathans are active hunters, although a healthy individual can go on for months without eating when neccessary.
Although native to the planet known as Lentheas, in the same universe as Earth, groups of leviathans have moved to other suitable planets with the assistance of other species. Currently there are a population of more than 300 at Sorolan, and despite the frequent storms, they thrive in the warm oceans of the planet. The leviathans spend most of their lives in the deepest part of the oceans and they are therefore rarely seen, however, younger beasts seem to take a greater interest in th doings of other races.
Many leviathans are master story tellers, and as they keep a history that goes back for millenias, they are often sought after to tell stories about their past. While being in possession of the Talent to become magic-users, the leviathans will rarely make use of this unless they have no other choice.

Special Abilities: telepathy, telekinesis and some empathy. They do have the inate talent for magic, but it`s rarely used after the basic training.

Size at birth: 2-3 meters long.
Size at maturity: the oldest individuals may be as long as 200 meters.
Time to maturity: 70 years.

Mental Abilities: smarter than humans and with exceptional memories. While understanding the importance of keeping a good relationship with other races, the leviathans are predators and they will often hunt any sapient being who don`t try to establish contact with them or give them the proper respect while in their territory.
