Liaeni

General Description: the liaeni is a race of immense space-dwelling lifeforms. They are oval in shape, and their protective outer layer, or 'hide' are capable of protecting a liaeni against almost any extremes in temperature and enviroment, making them capable of surviving anywhere they can find the minerals and energy they need to survive. A liaeni's hide can be quite colorful, and older liaeni can usually be identified by that their color-patterns are much more complex than in younger ones. Over fifty miles long as adults and capable of emitting immense charges of electricity, they are also fairly skilled magic-users, making the liaeni a rather formidable lifeform. In space they feed on radiation from suns and they might even devour entire asteroids and comets, especially when they prepare to give birth, which is a process that requires huge amounts of energy. A liaeni have no gender and like plants, they send out a kind of 'spores' that might float around for decades before impacting on a planet or with a asteroid. And this activates a process in the seed, making it absorb minerals and gases from the ground to give it enough energy to develop itself into a liaeni juvenile. These beings are very independent and tend to stay away from other races most of the time, so very little are known about their culture.

Special Abilities: all liaenis are capable of producing and emitting immense charges of electricity as a form of defence. They are also very talented in the way of magic, and most are also capable of teleporting.

Size at birth: 2-4 meters long.
Size at maturity: 40-70 miles long.
Time to maturity: 300-400 years(depends on the amount of food available).

Mental Abilities: more intelligent than any human by far. It is also believed that a liaeni genetically inherit its parent`s knowledge, but not much is known about their thought processes as those telepaths who have tried to touch a liaeni`s mind have always went mad.

How often can the creature get pregnant: every 30-40 years.
How long between pregnancies: depends on the liaeni.
How long is it pregnant: 100 years.
How many offspring can the creature have at once: 10-15(not all will survive long enough to start developing).
