Minidragon(Dhrakee)


General Description: minidragons are very small for dragons to be, rarely becoming more than 1-1.5 meters long from the tip of their muzzles to the tip of the tail. They are the result of a Grand Mages experiments with zthlee dragon genes, created through a complicated magical process. Although they are considerable smaller than their full dragon counsins, the minidragons are no less intelligent than their ancestors and they are capable of speaking aloud as well as telepathcally. A minidragons body is covered by very small scales, so at first glance it may seem like they have skin rather than scales. They have a pair of horns on their heads growing straight backwards from above their eyes, but no spikes at their backs.

Special Abilities: all minidragons have the ability to boost the magic of the person they are bonded to, and they are also capable of pyromancy and cryomancy. However, they lack their larger cousins immunity to magic attacks.

Size at birth: about 10 cm long.
Size at maturity: 1-1.5 meters long.

Is there sex linked traits (like color):

Brass(female): the largest and most intelligent females. Basically they are a variant of gold, but is generally seen as a seperate color due to their size. Brass minidragons are always fertile and can produce 20-40 eggs in one clutch.

Gold(female): second in rank and intelligence to the brass, the golds tend to be small. It is also a common occurance that brass and gold minidragons hatch as twins. Golds are always fertile, producing 20-25 eggs in a clutch.

Mercury(male): the largest and smar-*test*-('") males. A mirror-like silver color the hide of mercury minidragon is a dazzling sight, even moonlight can add a bright glow to their hides.

Silver(male): silvers are a variant of mercury, but slightly smaller and their hides aren`t nearly as bright.

White(male): despite being rather small, whites are known to rival the golds in intelligence and their speed and agility often makes them capable of catching even a brass during a mating flight.

Bronze(male): due to their size and strenght, bronzes are often found as the male leader of a group of minidragons. They are dependable comerades who are likely to stick with their chosen person no matter what.

Brown(male): the browns are a variant of bronze, and the difference in size and intelligence are minimal. The only thing that can acctually distinguish a brown from a bronze are that a browns hide will never be metallic.

Black(female): blacks are usually at the middle of the scale when it come to size, and although they aren`t as intelligent as brass or gold minidragons, they are experts at discussing. More often than not, a black will get things her way. Blacks are fertile, usually producing 5-10 eggs a clutch, but never brass, gold, mercury or silver.

Blue(female): the second smallest females, blues are small and not quite as smart as any of the other colors. They make good friends though and aren`t easily distracted or spooked.
Blues are not fertile.

Green(female): greens are the smallest females and makes excellent messengers due to their ability to remember a message word-perfect. They cannot remember more than one message at a time however, and greens are more easily distracted than blues. They often improve as they get older and more experienced.
