Eliza sent out welcome to all the new hatchlings and love to Golden fire *Are you mine?* she thought questioningly to him.
She noticed all the other hatchlings hatch and was stunned by the mixture of shapes, types, personalities and colours, before slowly turning back to Goldenfire "Don't worry, she said reassuringly to him, "I still like you", petting him reassuringly, sending love and welcome out to him as did all her other bonds.

ooc- Is he mine?????

Lady Cin- 03-24-2005
OOC: My sincere and deepest apologies for my sudden and unexplained absense. Two events had major affects on my personal life...

1) After staying home and being a housewife for over a year, I decided to try and find a new job...and in less than a month...I got one. I am back to being a Security Guard and my new schedule (3rd shift, 4 ten hour days), does not leave me with much free time for rp'ing.

2) About ten days after I started my new job, I picked up a virus which crashed my computer. It has taken me this long to get my system up and running again. It took a while, because my husband had to remove the virus piece by piece so I wouldn't lose all my data. Removing a virus 'by hand' is extremely time consuming and tedious, but he did it for me anyway, and his schedule is more hectic than mine (12 hour days), which is why it took so long.

Now it's just a matter of me getting caught up with everything...which will probably take a while...so I ask for a bit of patience from everyone while I get back up to speed. So here we go.....

------------------------------

Celariein hesitated to ask the Caeddrhy queen and was doubly surprised when the regal dragoness initiated the conversation. *Would you allow me into your family,* she asked at last, *though I am not your kind? I can tell you are greatly eager for your own species about you.* She sat stalk-still, waiting anxiously for her answer.

Sensing how nervous the new hatched Satin was, Lotheryolana mindsent soothing waves of love and acceptance as she replied to Celariein, ><You may not be of mine own breedkind, but you are of dragonkind and I would welcome you as I would one of mine own daughters. Be at ease young Celariein, if it is your wish to bond with Cinnamin, your place in the Spice Clan is yours for the asking.><

Cinnamin had not been included in this mindlink, so as she waited for the two dragonesses to come to terms with each other, she turned her attention back to the sands where the sudden arrival of several hatchlings was causing a commotion. Immediately her eyes were drawn to four new Caeddrhy hatchlings...a Faeddhe, a Dyth and two Briones...all of which were female.

Cinnamin's love for the Caeddrhy species was well known and her wish to bond any or all of the four hatchlings would not be a surprise to anyone who knew her. She mindsent feelings of welcome, love and acceptance to all four hatchlings, hoping that they would want her. Images of Spice Castle and the growing number of dragons and other creatures were included in the sending.

As she watched the pale gold Faeddhe caper around she felt laughter...the beautiful white Dyth arroused feelings of independance...the regal Brione twins brought joy and beauty to her mind, along with the arrogance of royalty...the four together, made Cinnamin's hope rise to the heights of uncontrollable longing. Would any of the four even consider bonding with her? Not realizing just how much the Caeddrhy hatchlings were affecting her emotionally, Cinnamin's sendings were also including her wishful longings to bond more of them.

“A beautiful name; it suits,” Doneryl said in reply. “She seems to agree.” Indeed so for the Mahkkir nuzzled gently at Saiyuri as she began eating. *I like it,* she answered simply, fair glowing with pleasure.

Feeding his yet nameless Pelovettt, he stole another glance at Saiyuri, wondering if she had taken note of his sister’s comment and what she made of it. He gave a mental shrug and returned to the more demanding concern. Staring absently at the platter from which he fed the hatchling, it took Doneryl only another moment before her settled on what he felt was an appropriate name. **Lithlin’deis; do you care for it?** Pausing from his feeding, the hatchling met Doneryl’s gaze, deciding whether he approved or not. **I do,** was his reply, as he once more wrapped his tail about Doner’s ankle, albeit loosely this time, tugging gently as he moved closer to his Keeper and her chosen. Doner willingly followed.

Absorbed in the process of feeding Alsysharithe, Syres didn’t even notice the arrival of Maira’s son and who she later identified as her assistant. When she at last looked up she blinked in surprise and smiled. “New recruits, Maira?” She watched, her smile widening, as Zahir scrambled forward to ogle the hatchlings. “I take it that’s Zahir?” she asked amiably, offering explanation, “Saiyuri mentioned your son during her visit. He’s a young pup but he’d certainly not be the first to bond at his age. Liykol bonded a black Heirolan Flitt when he was four, but the little dear was rather small when she hatched and didn’t survive the winter. He was, needless to say, distraught; if not for his companionship with Gwenluca I can’t say what state he’d be in today.” Her son, while more often than not pleasant, was prone to dramatic mood-swings, occasionally resulting in tantrums or bouts of depression reminiscent of his fifth year. At eleven he seemed to be gaining a small amount of control, aided by the love of his recent bond. On amore possitive note, she said, "You really should visit when you have the chance."

Eyeing Tessa, the bronze snorted and turned to walk away. With a deft flick of his tail he sent a spray of sand flying in her direction and a sound that could be identified as laughter rang in her mind. He paused long enough to look back and see her reaction before prancing arrogantly in a circle about the harassed candidate. In a teasing tone he sent, *What do you think I’m planning?*

As he circled, the newly hatched Satin observed every angle her, setting them to memory. When he felt he had memorized her shape, he abruptly sat down where he was, gaze fixed unseeingly on Tessa. After a long few minutes his form began to flicker briefly, and abruptly shifted into a mirror image of the young woman. All except for the eyes; his eyes gleamed a bright blue-violet, the pupils slit draconically.

Eliza turned in hope, as she heard the mental cry directed towards her *Hello little one. Do you have a name or do you wish for me to give you one?, before mentally asking Are you hungry?*, going across to him *My names Eliza and if you wish it, I would be honoured to be your bondmate* she thought to him, hand out to other help if it was needed.
She hoped the everland would accept her but was aware he may not. *Golden fire would be a good name for you, if I were to give you a name*, she thought to him.

The young Everland moved cautiously toward Eliza, still uncertain. As he drew closer he answered, *Yes… I am hungry.* Leaning his head into her extended hand, he gazed at her. *I would like that; Golden Fire.* Now more sure of himself he replied, his tone teasing, *I will be yours… if you feed me!*

Rylnehra and Volremn watched the exchange between their son and his chosen with mild amusement, Volremn slightly surprised by his meekness. Rylnehra eyed her mate, seeming so smile. He will grow more confident in time, she said, adding lovingly, You were much the same in your early days. In answer he snorted, sending mental laughter.

Weaving amongst the clutches and roaming hatchlings, Zrln, still in his human form, approached the newly bonded pair, offering congratulations and a platter of meat.

The newest Dyth closed her eyes, sighing mentally. She could feel them watching her, though certainly not her alone. All the same she could feel their eyes. With her own shut tightly, she let her mind wander to brush those of the candidates, pausing on one in particular. Her eyes open once more, she stared unblinkingly at a very dainty woman, recognizing a large dragoness behind the woman to be of her own kind. As she watched the candidate she drew her head back in indignation as she saw her sibling Faeddhe meander over toward her candidate.

With a snort, glaring in the direction of her sister, she walked calmly and swiftly up to Cinnamin, trying to intercept the other hatchling. *I am…,* the Dyth began, realizing with a shock that she didn’t know her name. Attempting to hide her embarrassment she pretended that she’d not yet spoken and asked, at the same time her sister did so, *Who are you?*

*I saw her first,* she sent to the Faeddhe, unaware that the candidate could hear her. A sound like laughter answered; clearly there would ever be sibling rivalry betwixt the pair.

"Oh dear..." I murmured softly, standing agape at the perfect recreation of myself, gazing into my own eyes, now a deliciously unrealistic violet instead of my own candid blue-gray. "That's just a little... scary... Interesting, but unnerving..."
Where as before the Satin had moved around me to observe each angle and feature, I now paced around him - or, well, myself, as it was - trying to fathom the creature's fantastic abilities, amazed he'd been able to so perfectly capture the ragged-edged scar along my left cheek, the perfectly adjusted brim of my black hat - and accomlishment that had taken me three months, in actuality - and the defiant curl of my chestnut hair.
"So that's what my hair looks like from the back..." I murmured teasingly before coming full circle to face the mimicking dragonet. "As for what you have planned, young deviant?" I inquired, fixing those depthless, draconic indigo eyes with me own, "whatever it is it had better not get me blamed for it..."
I now paused to glance surreptitiously around me at the spectators and other Candidates, most watching with various levels of bemusement on their faces, some down-right confused, a few watching with eager anticipation as they awaited the next move.

Eliza smiled at him happily "I shall feed you then GoldenFire and I am glad you like the name I gave you", she said to him, overcome with joy at impressing him- her own everland. "You are mine and I am yours, we ARE together", she said joyeously, hugging him carefully, before turning to Zrln, as she sensed him approaching "Thank you" she said, accepting the platter of meat and bowing her head in thanks, sending her own mental thanks to the everland dragons parents in respect.

She then put the platter down..... *No, you don't* she thought to Golden Fire, seeing him approach the meat, *bit by bit, remember, so you don't chock (SP?) and we wouldn't want that, would we?" she asked him, kind heartedly amused.
Out loud, she said "Piece by piece, there you go!", grinning as she lovingly watched him wolf it all down, kneeling next to him, her white gown neatly spread out and her kind eyes sparkling a bluey-lilac in the light. Golden Fire at that moment, stopped, looked at her, replied * Yes we are and no we wouldn't* and got back to his meal, in blissful happiness.

ooc- Thanks smile.gif sorry its a bit too long!!!!

ooc- If I may???? I don't mind what kind or hatching.

ic- Elessa walked in "May I stand for such gorgeous hatchlings?" she asked, mentally noting her sister was there and had already impressed. She curtseyed to her host and the dragonic parents, "It would be a great honour indeed to stand for a chance to impress one and I would care for it with great care, insuring no harm will ever come to it" she said, hoping she would and could be allowed to impress one of her own at long last. She waited for her answer.

The hatchling only grinned, still baring her form and looking rather smug. Though he’d not received so great an exclamation of awe at his prowess from either Tessa or their spectators- for he was no longer considering the other attendants candidates-, he was nonetheless well pleased with her reaction. They were of like minds, he felt, if of varying degree.

“As for that, what good would it do me if you were to get in trouble?” he asked, all innocence, even his voice much the same. He watched her, gazes locked, his own eyes glittering with mischievous delight. “First, I have a question.” He drew out the pause, willing her to believe it was vastly important or the like. “What is your name?”

Rylnhera and Volremn nodded in acknowledgment, pleased with their son’s choice. Zrln smiled, watching the new pair, and turned to leave. The last thing he expected to see when turning around was a new candidate. Surely he would have noticed… But like as not, he was getting tired; for all that the time seemed to be flying by, the hatchlings were indeed taking their time to choose very carefully.

He grinned in response, composure regained, “You are most certainly welcome to stand. The hatching is only a third of the way through as it currently stands. Though I hope you hadn’t had your sights set on only bonding one? I daresay no one will be returning without having to look for financial aid to feed their hatchlings.” He smiled, watching as the young woman looked around raptly at the hatchlings, both bonded and unbonded. “My name is Zrln and you are on the planet of Alkahrnia.” Zrln waited a moment longer to see if she had any other questions before moving on to check on the bonded pairs and their food supplies.

Deordhan had watched from a distance as his soulmate was bonded by his clutch sibling. He wasn't sure what to make of the other Makkir but with a small grunt he lifted himself off the sands and made his was not so gracefully over to Saiyuri where she sat with food and her newest bondmate. *Mine,* he asked softly, *my belly is rumbling again can I have some more to eat?*

Turning Saiyuri saw Deordhan and gestured the male Makkir hatchling to come rest next to Miela'Raisha. *Of course my silly boy, come eat there's more than enough for both of you on this platter.* As she said this the Rathnaiti woman used her free hand to feed Deordhan while her other was still feeding Miela'Raisha.

Happiness brimming in her eyes she turned to Doneryl, noticed that his Keeper had dragged him closer, and without thinking placed a quick kiss on his cheek. As she pulled away she whispered in his ear, "Any more hatchlings and i'll need to use my tail to feed them."

~~~~~
Maira smiled at Syresluna as she too watched her son edging ever closer to the hatchlings. Maybe the woman was right and Zahir wasn't too young to bond... She wouldn't say so out loud though otherwise the boy would never let her forget it and he'd want to go to every single hatching or bonding on Dai'Wadeeya. As she thought, images of Zahir surrounded with a horde of his own bonds Maira's smile grew; Temani had been right, at least Zahir came by it honestly.
Suddenly Maira remembered that Temani was standing next to her waiting for an introduction and blushing slightly she turned and gestured the young man forward. Once he was at her side Maira said to Syres, "This is Temani, he's from my home world and has been living at Sanctuary for almost a year now. He's training to become a healer before he goes back to his own people but while he's there he's also been helping me run the place." Then with a mischievous look she teased him, "Who knows, maybe one of the creatures there will convince him to stay when his studies are finished."
Temani just smiled at Maira's familiar 'threat' before extending his hand to the very pregnant woman sitting on the ground next to a newly hatched dragon. "Its a pleasure to meet you ma'am," he said rather quietly. It wasn't that Temani was shy, it was just his normal tone. After working with sick and injured animals for so long it was just habit for him to speak softly.
Maira smiled at Temani as he greeted Syresluna. She was always amazed by his manners though why she wasn't sure. All Plains Riders were respectful, a far cry from the men of her people that she'd grown up with. With a slight shudder at the memory Maira turned her attention back to Syresluna and she remembered the woman's invitation to visit which gave her, what she thought, was an even better idea. The haunted look quickly faded from Maira's eyes and was replaced by excitement as she offered, "Instead of me coming to visit why don't you come to Sanctuary for a while. After the little one is born you're going to need a quiet place to relax and what better way to do that than to leave home."
<<Don't sweat it, Falcon! Always glad to get postage, of any size or creativity level. biggrin.gif *Eats chocolate bunny.*
"Oh, well, then I'd just hope I could run faster and hide better than you..." I jested at the Satin's first inquiry, shrugging my shoulders helplessly as I looped my thumbs in my pockets, idly scuffing one boot in the sand, my eye lids lowered lazily, the perfect image of indifferent nonchalance.
However, my posture shifted at the start second question, leaning in as the hatchling pulled out his inquiry. My shoulders now hunched forward, my eyes opening wide as, via body language, I encouraged the Satin to finish his massive inquisition, ripe with such dramatic brevity.
"My name?" I replied, a little nonplussed, though not truly surprised - how many time had such a request reached me on this day alone? I eyed the Satin coyly, one brow raised for mischief, waiting a moment until I at last bequeathed my title to him, tugging to moment out as he had, for exact flare and theatrical flourish.
"It's Tessa. And your name, if you know it, youngling?" I asked, my brows now raised questioningly.
Cinnamin smiled and giggled at the two hatchlings, thinking to herself *this could get interesting*. >>My name is Cinnamin<< she sent to them both, >>and there is no need to fuss over who saw who first. I saw both of you as you hatched and hoped for both of you to come to me. I have many bondmates and love all of them equally, so if you do choose me, you will have to share me with all of them too. But I will never neglect you or forget you and I will always love you.<<
She held out her hands...one to each hatchling...>>so...would both of you like to come home with me? I can give you names too, if you like.<< She thought for a few moments then spoke to the Dyth, >>You I would call...Siirimatikal,<< then to the Faeddhe, >>You I would call...Velataari.<<
Cinnamin looked from one to the other then said to them both, >>Will you be mine?<< Love and hope were part of the sending, along with a good bit of anxiety...it's was the dragon's choice after all.
ic- "Thank you" she said, curtseying to him in her thanks at being allowed to attend this marvellous if noisy hatching, before joining the rest of the candidates, calling mental welcomes to all those who were unbonded. She looked in hope, grinning as she passed her sister nodding her thanks to the dragon parents and knelt down on the dusty red floor, feeding her 3rd new bond.
She went across to her. "Well, what is his name?" Elessia asked Eliza, smiling when Eliza told her "GoldenFire". "I'm glad", she said to her, "suits him extremely well", before giving Goldenfire a rub and moving onto the unbonded hatchlings, feeling there was one (possibly more?) there, waiting for her.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eliza looked up at Elessia "I'm glad you're here" she said to her before answering her question about GoldenFire and watching her move on, noticing her white robe was a creamy white, in the light of the sun beaming in on the hatching itself.
