Eliza walked towards the violet Aestre lizard and said to her "Hello, I'm Eliza".

Maira- 01-08-2005
OOC: so this doesn't fall to the bottom...

The violet Aestre lizard unclenched her jaws from her brother's tail and turned at the sound of Eliza's voice, her eyes swirling black and orange (hunger and joy) she asked, *Food?*

Feeling the pressure on his tail release the lapis Aestre lizard looked to the woman who had spoken. *Thank you,* he sent sweetly followed by, *Food?*

Maira- 01-08-2005
As the two Aestre lizards distracted Eliza two more loud pops directed Maira's attention towards the Satin dragon's eggs. Sure enough, there were two hatchlings looking slightly dazed freshly out of their eggs. From the way the two were glaring at each other their eggs must have collided upon hatching.

The first to step away from the remains of her shell was a white female with steel grey and pale sea blue patches. Boldly she headed for the candidates and eyed them all defiantly obviously waiting for hers to step forward.

The second was a bit more shy. The dusty rose with amber patches female mewled almost piteously as she approached the candidates. She was rather uncertain of the whole situation and just hoped somebody would help her out.

" Of course you both may have food" Eliza said, smilingly, to both the violet and lapis lizards, " Would you both like to come with me and get it?" she asked, also happy at this chance to meet and possibly bond with two beautiful Aestra lizards.
" You've both got lovely colouring."

OOC: Thank you, once more, for taking charge of things, Maira. *waits to be slapped for her inattentiveness…*

IC:
It was made apparent, when the siblings turned toward Eliza, that they had not heard Isoke’s concerned warning. But as Syres watched, she noticed three tiny hatchlings moving toward him and did a double take. When had they hatched? A dainty white followed closely by a silver and a gold moved awkwardly from their shells by the remaining Heirolan Flitt eggs, the ghostly little female sounding a trill. *What are you,* she asked, head to the side. *Will you feed me?* She ignored her two clutch mates, the gold and silver circling each other and hissing before turning away again.

Flicking his teeth-marred tail the lapis watched her, his black eyes steadily whirling faster. *Come with you where?* he blinked his lids repeatedly and sniffed at the air. The violet had already proceeded to climb on top of Eliza, scrabbling through the folds of her clothing in search of a meal. She huffed, *Where?* Whether she echoed her brother’s question or asked of the location of food, one could not be sure. The violet gazed at Eliza when she spoke again, the bobbed her head. *I am prettier than he, no?* Her brother merely snorted.

QUOTE (Lady Cin @ Dec 31 2004, 02:07 AM)
>>But of course I would precious<< Cinnamin replied with a happy tone, >>I have bonds of many species and I will always welcome another.<<

Cin sent the topaz hatchling images of all the different dragons and other species that lived at Spice Castle with her.

>>Do you see little one?<< Cin asked, >>I have a soft spot for all creatures, large and small. I bond as many as I can so that I may share my love with all of them.<<

Cin waited to see what the little topaz would say or do...she hoped that the little one would want to bond with her and join her growing family.

The young Kilkerith made a sound like a purr as she saw the Spice Castle. *You are great in heart, Lady, to love so many…* Her hide glittering a dazzling display of pinks, yellows and blues, she moved closer, gazing raptly up at Cinnamin. *I am Poulmynithe, though I would accept another name you gave me.* ‘Purring’ softly, she curled up on the warm sands of the beach at their feet. *I am hungry, Mine.*

Zrln saw his queue when the topaz laid down and moved toward the new pair. Tray of meat in hand, he bowed his head to Cinnamin. “Congratulations on your bond, may you find many happy beginnings,” he said, offering her the platter. Kiomythe rumbled his approval from his vigil next to Merathe. The ruby King was practically oozing pride as he watched his daughter find her bondmate. Merathe, seeming to smile draconically, watched with quiet regard. You have chosen well, daughter.

Saiyuri was more than a little surprised when suddenly she found herself laying on the ground with the peridot looking down at her. *You want me after all little man?* she asked not quite believing what was so obvious to Doneryl who she heard laughing somewhere behind her.

With a laugh the Rathnaiti woman sat back up and shook her wings gently to get the sand out of her feathers. Then offering the meat she had somehow managed to hold onto said to the little guy, *I'd be thrilled to tell you all about me and my people.*

Then bringing her tail forward she tickled the dragonet's nose and whispered, *You're right I'm not that furry but my tail sure is.* When the hatchling sneezed Saiyuri just giggled and bent forward to kiss his nose. *I'm sorry sweet boy I didn't mean to make you sneeze.*

Shaking his head from the sneeze, the Mahkkir leaned into Saiyuri. *Of course I want you, Mine. You are so strange,* he teased. He nudged her gently and gazed up at her. *Do you have food? Where do you live? What is my name?* His torrent of questions was as surprising to him as it must have been to Saiyuri and it was not until he had asked the last that he realized that he had no name.

Doneryl came up behind Saiyuri, laying his hand on her shoulder and grinning. “What a darling little handful of confusion you’ve found yourself. What ever will you do?” His eyes twinkled merrily as he watched her reaction. “The little man needs a name and food. I’ll bring you the latter if you take care of the former.” Winking he moved over to the Satin host, asking for a tray of meat.

Lady Cin- 01-09-2005
"Poulmynithe suits you just fine, I wouldn't think of changing it" Cin replied as she lowered herself to sit beside her new bondmate.

"Thank you Zrln, for the food and the praise. I'm sure Poulmynithe and I will be very happy together" she said with a smile, then started feeding the little topaz beauty.

<<She is not my kind, but I do approve>> Lotheryolana said as she came over, ><Greetings little one, I am proud to have you as my bondsister.><

The elegant brione Caeddhry queen, the new hatched topaz Kilkerith and the small fairy made a lovely family picture. Together they stayed at the edge of the sands and waited to see what happened next....Lotheryolana was still hoping to take home a few more Caeddhry hatchlings or younglings to join her clan.

*Your name is a number?!* The hatchling’s mental voice was laced with genuine shock. *How odd. How very odd.* The Dyth warbled her approving amusement. *Well I think, then, you are lucky that Thyraswlhd means ‘Son of Kings’ and not ‘King’. Then, would there be a problem.* She watched as Machere dashed behind a larger form. *Make him come out, he’s funny.* Abruptly, her stomach gave a loud rumble and the brass dragonet was left sitting in embarrassment. Rubbing her head against the young woman she murmured, *I am hungry, Tessa. Will you feed me or leave my poor little body here to rot?*

Gorinoeth snorted, startled at her daughter’s teasing. Do not say such things, daughter, she warned, her mental tone not lacking in warmth. Rhea watched her Caeddrhy dragoness, wondering what had made her so concerned. ```What is it, Little Bird?``` The pure white Dyth looked up at hers, She teases of what she does not know. Of what has occurred countless times. She is hungry and uses her hunger and state of health in jest. She is newly hatched, she cannot know how ill she could become in short minutes. ```But she has founds Hers, Gorina. And as you say, she is newly hatched and cannot know all of your pain.``` The dragoness nodded and leaned her great white head into Fulcarea’s leg. I know, I am only concerned for her. ```Be at peace. I will bring the new pair food.```

Rhea walked up to Tessa and smiled, extending the tray of meat. “Have you thought of a name for you little one yet?”

Azarsha smiled as the dragonling pro-*test*-('")ed her size, offering a second piece of meat. The little sneezed abruptly, and Azarsha wrinkled her nose, laughing aloud. *No worries, little love - and you are small, but soon you will be big! Shall we call you Orchid? An orchid is a beautiful flower, and they are often coloured much like you...*

The Everland hatchling pondered Azarsha’s choice in names, with every breath absorbing the memories and knowledge of generations past that where bred into her species. At last she asked, *Beautiful, yes, but do they smell as nice?* Not waiting for her reply, she agreed, *I like it. I am Orchid, queen of the Air,* she rang out, giggling madly at her own outburst. With renewed vigor she proceeded to gorge herself into a stupor.

Sephiroth- 01-09-2005
Querine ran into the hatching out of breath. She looked and saw not many hatclings left. "Am I too late?"She asked wondering if she should just turn around and leave. Querine had been out gathering food when she had learned of the hatching. It had taken her a while to return home and tell her brother she was leaving, then Querine had to find the quickest route to the hatching. She had ran the last stretch, wondering if she would make it in time. Querine stood and tried to regain her breath while waiting for an answer.

Falcon Muse- 01-09-2005
Zrln watched as the la-*test*-('") candidate arrived and laughed at her question. It was not a mocking laugh, merely kind and mirthful. “No, indeed you are not too late. Though there are not many hatchlings currently on the sands, there are many more within their shells waiting to see the light of day.” He grinned, offering a hand to help steady her. “You needn’t have rushed so, you know,” he said, still smiling. His cat-slit yellow-green eyes were bright in the half-light as the clouds. Noting the sudden shift in daylight he turned to gaze at the three Aeoparabian dragonlings; one was moving towards them.

The Half-Light dragon walked with a slow and even pace, his eyes fixed on Querine. His hide was a soft storm-grey that echoed the clouds he had conjured and his feathered wings were smudged in pale amber. *I have waited a long time for you. Twelve years, in fact. It is good to find you at last, but would you accept me as wholly as I accept you?* He watched her with luminescent eyes. Twelve years, when it came to the common lifespan of his species, was little more than a breath of air; though when one bonded they lived as long as their chosen bondmate, though their chosen’s life may extend a decade or so longer than was originally possible. *I am Mein, a Half-Light of the Aeoparabian Court. I have left my host to find my bondmate- would you be she?”

I’ll bring you the latter if you take care of the former.” Winking he moved over to the Satin host, asking for a tray of meat.

The teasing that came from her newest bond pleased Saiyuri, the little guy had quite the sense of humor. She didn't even mind being called 'strange'. In fact she thought it was probably true from his point of view. Most candidates were at least more human than she was.

The barrage of questions from the Mahkkir certainly did take Saiyuri off guard and she was glad for the reassuring hand that she was placed on her shoulder. Looking up and back she saw Doneryl grinning down at her and after listening to him and watching him go off to get the food she turned back to the little peridot hatchling. "Well sweet boy, I live in a bunch of places really so I'll tell you about those later. I think right now the name is the most important." As she gently caressed his cheek she thought about a name for him. Suddenly an inspired light filled her eyes and she asked him excitedly, "What do you think of Deoradhan? It means wanderer in my people's magical language."

Falcon Muse- 01-09-2005
Doneryl had come back with the hatchlings meal as Saiyuri spoke a name. Smiling faintly he said ina quiet voice, "It suits." The hatchling seemed to agree, laying his head sedately in her lap- only to bring it up again with a start at the scent of the fresh meat. Doner laughed, handing her the platter. As he stood there, a multitude of eggs hatched; two more Caeddhry eggs, a second Everland and the next two Kilkeriths

Spilling from her shell in an array of autumn tones was a Faeddhe of the Caeddrhy. She creeled loudly for attention and food, looking amongst the candidates with mild curiosity. In the Everland sands a medium-sized water dragon had hatched. He fell on to his father’s foot, who nudged him gently to move back into the sands. Stretching translucent wings feebly, he moved his sleek grey toned cerulean head from side to side watching those around him with a shadowed gaze. Then he moved. With an almost feline ease the hatchling could be seen slinking across to the Caeddrhy sands. Harnessing sudden agility he threw himself onto the Faeddhe. The pair scrabbled for a few minutes, only playing despite the ferocity they expressed, and parted as they crashed into another egg. Gorinoeth gave a low rumble, but the egg had already had cracks along the shell and would have hatched within the next few minutes without their aid.

From this egg came a hatchling of the palest rose coloration that she was nearly white. The only thing to mark her as Mahkkir was her long, sail-like wings. She crouched in the remnants of her shell watching warily all those gathered and repeatedly turning her head to watch an egg that held one of her clutchmates.

The two Kilkerith eggs hatched simultaneously, knocking into eachother. Merathe watched in awe as the first of the two scrambled from her shell, a dainty copper form with flecks of silver and pearl along her hide; so like Merathe’s own dam, Leronaperithe. The hatchling nuzzled her sister, who did not move from her eggshell but merely lay there, her chest rising and falling weakly. This hatchling was beauty of pale golden-brown smudges dancing on scales of blue-green. *Sister, speak to me,* wailed the copper. *It is Lierenorinthe, speak to me!* The other raised her eyes to her sister. **I am here… but I am so tired.** *You mustn’t sleep, Ferranerathe, you can’t.* **Why? I am so tired… please?** Lierenorinthe began to cry, then, a truly sad thing. She looked around at the candidates forlornly, *Help her!* she cried, her mental voice loud in all their minds.
