I want the female maroon sjirran griffin!
I'd take the human female, but I have too many humans - I have to expand my borders.
Goldendragon- 05-17-2005
I want the bronze/red darkdragon male, please. Im with Aqya about the human thing. Humans are boring.

His eyes whirling with red and yellow, Raneth muttered anxiously as he finally landed between two hills not so far from a patch of forest. And grunting as he fought to catch his balance for a moment or two, managing not to drop Sarna, he put her carefully down at the ground. Due to the unfamiliar terrain and certain differences in the air, the young blue wasn't sure how far he had flown, but he hoped that it had been far enough.
Either way, he doubted that he would be able to fly for much longer...
Raneth uttered a unhappy keen and nudged his rider gently, keening again as he didn't get any proper response. Without her, and so far away from his fellow dragons, he just didn't know what to do.

Ana'ada had been out hunting for her dinner when she spied the 'dragon', carrying it's unconscious rider in the distance. The maroon griffin swept into the forest, hiding in case the dragon was from the cities and looking to capture her. Ana'ada had done much wrong, and getting captured would only end her fun. Once the dragon landed, though, she was stunned. It was certainly not from the cities with that physiology - that was some entirely new dragon that had never been seen before on the planet. Maybe this new creature was meant for hunting....it wasn't much bigger than her.
Slowly she crept from the woods and launched herself into the sky, preventing any escape from the creature and his human as she soared down in front of them. ::What are you doing, tresspassing on these lands?:: Then she saw the age of the young human the 'dragon' had carried and quickly got another idea. ::Nevermind. You will come with me back to my camp and enjoy food. You will get to meet many new friends.::
The griffin just loved being a bad influence on the young.
Goldendragon- 05-22-2005
The actions of the griffin caught Vrynnilesst's eye as she jumped in to the air and was naturally cuious of what she might be doing. Hunting no less, he thought to himself as he launched himself to inspect the probable kill of Ana'ada. While he had no trouble himself of finding his own meal for the day, it was always better to conserve energy as often as possible and get a meal for much less work. The veiw of a odd creature and Ana'ada just talking to him spured his interest even more figuring it was not like the griffin to play with her food in this manor. Grumbling deeply, the darkdragon landed a little ways behind Ana'ada, and eyed the blue and his rider. ::Well what have you caught today, Ana'ada. What do you have in mind to do with these things while they are still alive.:: He snorted at her, impatient to eat or at least have some fun.
Aqya- 05-22-2005
::Actually, I was thinking that we took them back to camp and introduce them to the gang.:: Ana'ada looked over her shoulder at the darkdragon before quickly turning back to the dragon and his rider. ::So, you two are not from around these parts, I assume. No matter, we will take you back as friends to our camp. There you can eat and have a nice place to sleep for the night and then we can figure out where you came from.:: She made sure that they saw her talons, and what would happen if she was attacked. ::Now, won't you two join us? We will be having dinner soon and you are invited.::
The maroon griffin turned and looked at her business partner. ::I don't know, but the girl looks like she might be a good flunky, if you just get her away from that dragon. I don't know, though..... The dragon looks as if he might have some meat on him. We can have him for a meal sooner or later.:: She swept her wings and glided behind the two. ::Now start moving,:: she told the girl and her dragon. ::The dragon is not to fly.::

OOC: remember that Sarna is still unconscious.
IC.
Raneth curled his tail around Sarna, not at all prepared to trust either of the creatures who had just approached him. They had been chased by others in this strange world, others who had hurt his rider, and now the dragon and the other creature seemed to want him to come with them.
His wings twitching, the young blue came close to springing into the air again, but then a groan from Sarna stopped him from doing so. And turning away from Ana'ada and Vrynnilesst, he nudged his rider-- pleading her to wake up again.
Aqya- 05-23-2005
Ana'ada thought for a moment, looking at the dragon and his stirring rider. She didn't look in the best of shape, and the dragon looked extremely worried. If she was a humanoid she would have smiled at that moment, but the look that crossed her face looked like a twisted grin. ::Your rider is hurt. We will take her back with us to our camp and heal her. We have a skilled healer who could tend to her while we have a nice discussion.:: Well, if skilled meant someone who learned basic healing while she was still young, it was not a lie to put herself in that role. ::Just allow us to guide you there. You will have to walk, though - the skies around here are dangerous.::
The maroon griffin looked back at her darkdragon counterpart. :

o you think that he would mind if we knocked him out, too, or is that too far?:: she asked him privately. ::He seems like he might pose a threat.::
Shadow- 05-29-2005
Torn between defending his rider against creatures who he didn't really trust and accepting the help they offered, Raneth's tail twitched in response to the internal conflict. However, suddenly he let himself relax..
Clearly he was not going to do very well here out in the wilds, and he certainly couldn't do much to help Sarna on his own. Yes, certainly the dark dragon and the griffin might not appear very trustworthy, but if Sarna died...
::I'll come, is it far?:: he asked, suddenly feeling a lot more tired than he ought to be despite his recent paniced flight.
Aqya- 05-29-2005
:

h, just over that ridge,:: Ana'ada told the young brown dragon, giving her best version of an evil grin. ::But it would be better if you walk. You may overshoot it and land somewhere that is less....hospitable, you understand, yes? There are Saurians who do not take kindly to strangers, and they will eat you faster than you can say sirapeh. But just follow us and we will take your rider to the healer and make her all better, alright?:: Make the girl better and get rid of the dragon, that was her plan. Ply the girl to her will and use her for their own good. The dragon was too much of a risk - he could attack, injure someone, but the worst the girl looked like she could do was trip and fall on her face. Of course, she was currenly out of it, but Ana'ada could tell. She was harmless. ::Just come on, little dragon, and all will be better.::
Shadow- 05-30-2005
::Try to keep the dragon alive would you? If he's from a unregistered species, he may be worth a lot if sold to the right people::
Lowering the binoculars he had been using to watch as his companions went ot deal with the offworlders, Kalyanji grinned wryly, ::after Arilla made sure that the dragon would follow you without balking, that's the least you can do::
Without waiting for the darkdragon and the griffin to reply, he then turned to walk over to the pair of takhepeh eating for a nearby bush.
::We spotted some krikhans in the distance not so long ago, probably looking for the offworlders. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to stay around here for so much longer, so where should we meet?::
Aqya- 06-07-2005
::They won't come this way,:: Ana'ada said, giving the dragon a coy griffin smile as she led him away. Out of the corner of her sharp eyes she could see what Kalyanji had mentioned - krikhan. But they were not flying in their direction, instead circling back and disappearing back towards the ridge. ::See? I told you that they wouldn't come in this direction. There are too many bad Saurians out here who would not hesitate to eat even them. They aren't that stupid.:: She kept leading the unusual brown dragon over the short ridge that led back to their camp. ::We should go back to the camp. I told the dragon I would wake up his rider, and if that doesn't happen then he might get the idea that something is wrong, and we cannot have that, now can we? He's big enough to inflict wounds.::
The maroon griffin stretched her wings out lazily, keeping one eye on her path forward and the other looking backwards at the brown dragon and his rider. ::I think the girl on his back would be a very good student of the black market, don't you think?:: she asked the darkdragon. ::Sell the dragon and make the girl into a pretty little unsuspecting black market dealer. How ingenius.::
