Kyi, getting rather frustrated with the tent happened to look in the sky as the Large Green passed by. Do you know that dragon Halith? No, she does not seem fumilure ~THats odd~ She thought to herself "T'mar, Do you or Carnith know that dragon?" she asked just as he was getting the poles to stand right.

He looked at were she was pointing and shook his head. "I don't but-" he stopped shourt and his eyes went un-focased as he confered with the Brown "Carnith says he doesn't know eather..." "Well, could another person flying Between near us have gotten...pulled with us?" T'mar shrugged "Mabye..."

Seeing that Kyiana was engrossed in building the tent, Sigura walked over - but stopped when she saw that her tent partner was being helped by a boy. "You can't be her tent partner!" she shrieked, making her green jump up in surprise. She scurried over and pushed her body weight into shoving T'mar away from the tent. Who cared if they were going to be saved, the amount of time she was going to spend there was to be without men trying to sneak a peek. Sigura kept pushing him until she rammed him into a pile of poles where J'lil had been building the tent for himself and T'mar, or thought he had. The other greenrider's dragon was helping to construct the five post structure, using one of his feet to ram the center pole into the ground. "This is your tent, you little pervert, and stay here, would you?"

Sigura marched back over to Kyiana and humphed, pushing at a pole so that it looked as if it was securely in the ground. "What did you think, allowing a BOY to help you build your tent? You should have known I was just getting some poles and talking to the Weyrlingmaster. I thought I was going to have a panic attack because of that thing sticking it's nose in my back! And then again when you had him! Are you having an affair or something?!" She pushed her short brown hair out of the way and growled. "To think. You are too young for him anyway. Imagine."

Having attended to the unconscious girl, Riyaal finished wrapping a clean bandage around her head and sat back on her heels, eyeing the green Pernese dragon curiously. Shouts rang out and the girl swung her head around, almost getting reddish hair in her mouth as she watch the appearance and disappearance of the mysterious dragon in the sky. As Veberrilear returned from pursuing it, the human's brow wrinkled. This didn't bode well.

Keylo stared worriedly at the giant dragon as it returned to its post of watching over the lost Pernese. The commotion caused by the adult Pernese dragon had broken the awkward silence between herself and Ualli and found her dashing out of their tent to calm down Yanth, who had been so affected by the tensions that her flapping wing almost knocked over the tent. The short brunette rubbed her fingers absentmindedly over her green's eyeridges before turning to Ualli. The combined agitation of the Sjirrans and the confused Pernese made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, and she didn't like it. Who was that green dragon?...

While Osta had contented herself with staying inside of her tent and denying all that was happening, Shosuth was accutely aware of changes without and within. The newest dragon worried her not just for its size but for its attitude. It hadn't even greeted them properly and something about it was distinctly... wrong. Her nostrils flared, taking in an assortment of new scents. Shosuth couldn't even pick out which one belonged to the huge dragon.

Lowering her head to the ground to appear as small as possible, Shosuth felt the awkward nagging deep inside of her. That, too, had increased since they had been dumped out of /between/ in this odd place. Osta assured her that she was just growing but Shosuth didn't feel any bigger, just more unsatisfied.

As the itching grew stronger, Shosuth decided to try a different tactic. After bowing her head, she lifted it suddenly and trumpeted to the newcomer. Who are you? She groped with her mind.

Oh! And, um, I checked the dragonlength listings in the back of Moreta: Dragonlady of Pern, and greens are 20-24 meters, blues 24-30, browns 30-40, bronzes 35-45, and queens 40-45. So, maybe the winterdragon ISN'T so big.

OOC: the pernese dragons would be measured in feet rather than meters, using roughly the same numbers. Anne changed that some years ago.
