Panthranian Mystic Dragons


General Description
Twice the size of Panthran's other two dragon species the Mystic Dragon inhabits the islands surrounding the planets poles and were virtually unknown until recent explorations. Highly skilled in telepathy the Mystics commonly have the gift known as Shadowing, the ability through high telepathy to blank themselves out from another's sense perceptions. By using this gift they observed the other races of Panthran and have decided now is the right time to join them. These large dragons are extremely beautiful none having less than 2 colors swirling through their scales and layered through their feathered wings. Their eyes are a swirl of opalescence but tend to settle in a blue-green range though yellows are also common. Every Mystic has at least two pairs of large feathered wings, though some occassionally have additional pairs of smaller wings just ahead of behind the main pairs. In addition to their wings, each mystic has a feathered mane ranging from a thin line of feathers down the neck for females to something resembly a lion's mane in males. The tail is also tipped with a tuft of feathers. Though any color combination is possible among these dragons only the Kings and Queens among them will have gold and/or silver as one of their colors. King and Queen Mystic dragons are those gifted both in shadowing and traveling, are the largest of their kind, and together produce the largest clutches. Kings are more linked to fire than any other mystic as Queens are more linked to earth.

Shapeshift to a serpentine aquatic form, highly telepathic/empathic, encompass all 4 elemental magics, though they prefer to work with air and water, shadowing and traveling are common gifts.
