Well, in case anyone are interested in joining a Pern RP in a different setting than FarNorth Weyr, read my ideas for this RP below. It may be a bit strange, but it's an attempt to combine two RP ideas, and you're welcome to start your own if this is not to your liking.

1. It will be set in the early Seventh Pass, meaning that women will live rather restricted lives everywhere but in the Weyrs.

2. Whers doesn't exist. And though they are sometimes encountered, there are no firelizards Impressed by humans at this time.

3. Females ride gold and the very rare green.

4. In addition to dolphins, the colonists also brought orcas and elephants to Pern, to avoid conflicts, dolphins keep to the south and orcas to the north.

5. The RP will mostly be set at Ista Hold, so keep that in mind when creating a character.

6. Only three dragonrider PCs are available, and none of those may be a gold- or bronzerider. If the rider of a metallic dragon is needed, him or her will be played as a NPC by me or the person I chose to co-mod this RP.

7. There's a chance that a couple of strange creatures will be found, something not from Pern perhaps?

For those of us interested in the orcas or elephants are there any requirements for those?

For just this RP storyline, there's four available PC 'orca rangers'-- a journeyman and a journeywoman who are claimed by me and Platinum. The other two are graduated rangers, their orcas being 30-35ish turns old.

Right not I have no particular restrictions on elephant handler characters, although there aren't many women in that craft. Elephants did receive the metasynth treatment, but they cannot speak like the dolphins and orcas.
