Seaspray/Seafoam dragons


General Description
One of three draconic species native to the planet Filndablanque. Seafoam dragons are a peaceful race often partnered with flutters of Serenity Lizards. Seafoams are medium dragons rarely growing larger than 25 feet at the shoulder. They inhabit coastal areas and islands and have great skill with water and wind magics, hence their names. A rare few have the ability to shapeshift to an aquatic form, usually that of a giant seasnake. Seafoams are highly individual in their taste for company though many spend time in small family groups. The only time they will come together in larger numbers is to clutch. All members of a certain area or clan will come to the same beach to lay. The eggs are then guarded by one of the mated pairs, usually an Abalone Abyss male and Dream Pearl female. These dragons due to their high empathy often have large flutters of Serenity lizards to assist in the care of the eggs. Some parents will request their own flutters to remain to help especially if the chosen guardians are young, or a WhitePearl has sensed possible trouble.
These dragons are very rare having born the brunt of the unpredictable antics of their larger cousins the Dragons of Elemental Chaos. Though most Chaotic's seek bondmates to calm their unpredictable rages the occassional youngster turns wild and seem drawn to Seafoams, especially the precious communal clutches.

How many offspring can the creature have at once? varies by color of female with communal clutches reaching sometimes over 100 eggs.

Colors:
Dream Pearl are the largest females and can lay up to 40 eggs a clutch. Dream Pearls have a base color a mixture of silver and the palest of pinks with opalescent flashes of blues and greens and the occassional red. Very strong empathy especially with young creatures
Abalone Abyss are the largest males. They have a base color of metallic midnight blue or black with wings the colors of abalone shell usually with abalone markings on the rest of the body as well. Very strong empathy especially with young creatures

White pearl: either male or female, midsized, seers, pale creamy white with irridescent hints of other colors, up to 30 eggs a clutch
Black pearl: female, midsized, silvery grey with irridescent hints of other colors, up to 25 eggs a clutch
Abalone: male, completely irridescent like the colors found in an abalone shell. The rarest Seafoam dragon, will only come from Dream Pearl/Abalone Abyss pairs.

The following are the smallest of Seafoams and can be either male or female. Females of these colors can lay 3-10 eggs a clutch.

Ripple: a rippled mixture of blues and greens
Sea shadow: darkest blues and greens often clouded with grey
Splash: pale seagreen with "splashes" of white
Foam: pale grey with swirls of seagreen
