Thaliisst`tclesrei(Shapeshifter)

General Description: the Thaliisst`tclesrei, or shapeshifters as they are more commonly known as, are a race whose exact origin is unknown. All that is known is that they came from elsewhere to settle in the Mjelga universe along with the sha`mrn, the sha`yienn and the tca`ier. In their natural shapes, shapeshifters appear as large forms of a shimmering crystalline material, usually as large spheres 4-5 meters across. Nearly transparent, shapeshifters are soft and warm to the touch, and even in their natural forms they are capable of forming appendages and mouths to speak with. As their mundane name suggest, shapeshifters have the ability to shift into any creature they wish to become; they do not seem to be restricted by size. Shapeshifters are expert magic-users and they seem to take much joy in making it into an art, making whatever they do appear effortlessly as well as beautiful; even when they use their Talents to kill.
While the Mjelga universe is their home, shapeshifters are adventorous of nature and as soon as a young shapeshifter is considered old enough, it will always start traveling. Many shapeshifters will also live among other races for as long as they find it interesting, learning and observing, but never revealing its true identity.

Oddities: shapeshifters have no gender, although an individual will usually decide if it wants to be refered to as he or she while still quite young.

Size at birth: 1/7 the size of the parent.
Size at maturity: 4-5 meters across when in spherical form, weighing roughly 300 kg.
Time to maturity: 200-400 years.

Breeding.
How often can the creature get pregnant: depends on the individual.
How long between pregnancies: depends on the individual.
How long is it pregnant: it usually don`t more than a few days from the parent decide to produce young till the offspring emmerges.
How many offspring can the creature have at once: 2-5.
